@nemoryer I don't see the need to flip thighs because I only brush sauce on the skin. However, if you want to brush it on both sides of the thigh that is fine. You need to cook these for about 30 to 40 minutes. Every oven is different so you need to check and see when the meat is completely cooked through. You will find the recipe for this on the website. Thank you for coming by!
Chefff!! Thank you sooo much! I made this last week and it turned out AMAZING... This is the fourth dish I have coooked in my 32years and it was the bomb thanks to you! I used store bought sauce, but I think your sauce would have been better. Anyway, thanks again chef
@mpdfe Hi there! I only flip the drumsticks so that all the skin gets some sauce and caramelizes. The thigh skin is being brushed as well. However, having said that, if you would like o brush the thigh meat with sauce please go ahead! Thanks for watching!
Hi Chef, im not much of a good cook, so I thought I would look on you tube for some easy recipes..I can across your video.. I'm making it as we speak..so cross your fingers for me!! can't wait to see how my family likes it. :)
@pastryparrot1 You got a lotta views, yay! I cannot wait to buy your cookbook. Now I am roasting the chicken bones from yesterday to make stock. Cooking is so relaxing. Some of us like sewing, some cooking, whatever. All home crafts are useful. Have you read Confucious? The Chinese philosopher? It all makes sense. xo
@CuteCatFaith I love the little I have read of Confucius. I love the I-Ching which makes a lot of reference to him. The oracle is wonderful! Have a great weekend my friend!
you are the best! I cooked this a couple of months for the first time and i'm a college student with roommates and I was very pleased how it turned out and today i'm back at it again LOL
@2006bruner I have no idea why I did not get notifies about this message! I am so happy this worked for you! Thank you so much for letting me know. Take care!
I am still learning to cook and today I want to surprise my family with dinner I found this video its so simple and easy! Thank you I hope that it comes out good and I don't burn the house down lol.
@pastryparrot1 Thank you! I do have a quick question can I do this with chicken that is already seasoned? I know when my mom cooks with pre-seasoned chicken she always still adds a bit more. Is that what I should do also for this recipe?
Thanks for the video. I'll be making oven-baked barbecue chicken for my friends tonight, and this was my guide. I've already made the sauce (though I spiced it up), and I'm waiting on them to bring over the chicken. Here's hoping!
@pastryparrot1 It came out good but I think I used too much barbecue sauce because it didn't carmelize. I also had the oven on 350 instead of 375 so that could have been the reason why too. It was delicious just sticky...I'm trying again tonight :-)
I have been making my own BBQ sauce eversince I watched your video. If I see it on sale or if I have a coupon, I'll get it but my family loves it when I make homemade BBQ sauce. I owe you, thank you so much.
@Oreo1493 Go ahead and omit the paprika if you would like. You could use chili powder. The flavor will be different but still delish! Thanks for coming by!
@novatrek Oh no! I am sorry! Take the skins off and taste the meat to see if the burned flavor permeated it.If not, shred it and make some chicken salad. I hate when that happens :(
Looks awesome!! Thanks so much for sharing! I am making chicken in the oven tonight too. I never thought of doing a rub first I will do that for a party next time!
@eldublah yeah. . . those first videos are pretty bad that way. Everything is done on a tripod now - probably started right after this video! Thanks for coming by!
Well unless you're talking about hunting your food, chopping the wood, smoking the meat, by digging a hole in the ground, covering with maguey leaves + coal...
I tried this recipe last night, and it worked great! I didn't use the garlic or the spices, just straight up chicken and store-bought sauce, with fries and garlic bread. Good times.

@mrssuki1006 Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you have a great rest of the week!
pastryparrot1 1 month ago
Sorry I cannot find the recipe on your website. I think the total cooking time is 1 hour?
1) You first bake for 20 minutes w/o sauce.
2) You take it out 2x after that, for 15 minutes each
3) You add more sauce and bake for an additional 10 minutes. That's 60 minutes. Thanks.

just because it has barbeque sauce, doesn't mean it's barbeque chicken.
it's more like oven cooked.
barbeque is just a sauce in this.
but,im sure it tastes good and all.
barbeque is waaaayyyyyyyyy different.
REAL barbeque.
