is both butterfly's in the throttle body? if so why not just get a larger one? that does open both butterfly's then you will have a wiked fast car?
i have a 94' celica with a cold air intake system hooked up to a pod filter, the thing i found wrong with the throttle body is that the cords that open it are way too loose so i checked it out at the nearest car yard and it was the same! bloody weird
i have this same car u know if u take out the air filter out of the box it will sound nice :) a want to turbo this car and see the potential this engine have anyone know any site i can go on to get some parts for this car turbo intercooler etc..
then ur turning it into a gtfour you can use the gt4 manifold and intercooler on the gse engines but the fuel and ecu will all have to be changed cheaper to just get a gt4
3SGE engines are great. They have potential. A very strong engine. I have a the 3SGE Beams which pushes about 200HP. I owned an ST185 3SGE before the beams, and I felt the torque was more usable. With the beams, I don't get anything whatsoever until about 4000RPM
You don't get anything until about 4000RPM's because that engine has T-VIS. Basically under 4000RPM's your engine is running with only 1 butterfly valve in the intake open but over 4000RPM's the 2nd butterfly valve in the intake opens. Want the best of both worlds? Simply take out the 2nd butterfly valve that way you'll reap the same rewards as driving over 4000RPM's.
Incorrect. ST202's had the 3rd Gen 3S-GE engine WITHOUT TVIS. Instead they have a function called ACIS (Acoustic Control Induction System) which works on a vacuum-controlled switch when it's at a certain rev range. Wiki it.
I ve same car 2.0 gt i m looking for new rearlamps (with leds) for example but i cant find a site...its the only part that really make s the car looking old! :(
got this model aswell the st202 from 95 with 175hp
