I did this and got so many compliments on my hair >w< just make sure your hair is slightly wet when you do this, and do NOT brush your hair. this hair lasts for a while too; my hair remained wavy for 3-ish days XD

Even though bubz doesn't leave the 'hair parcels' in overnight I did and I didn't wake up with horrible hair or anything to be truthful mine turned out just about the same as lindy's hair. So you can sleep with them in overnight :)

@SpringsnowBlossom It does work with mousse. My grandma and her sister used to style their hair like this. Trust me, my gma is over a 100 years, there was no mousse back then. I also do my hair like this, and I don't use any product at all.
