Well, the legendary Land Cruiser's off road toughness cannot be beat by its competitors. That doesn't mean Toyota can't make capable trucks. They just acted stupid with building the Tundra, by not using the same hydroformed fully boxed frame that the Land Cruiser's using. Only the Tundra & Tacoma are bringing the suckage. The built in Japan predecessor of the Tacoma was the best compact truck of the 80's & 90's.

I own a Ford, but I will say that you are a retarded dumbass. I owned a 2002 Toyota Tacoma brand new and never had any problems with it. Also, compare ALL full size pickups in similar circumstances: V8 less than 6.0L, 4x4, 4door, short box bed, they all get about the same mileage. Hell, my 07 F150 5.4L supercrew XLT 4x4 short box bed gets an average of 13mpg in the city, ONLY when I'm driving like my mom. So seriously, give the Tundra a break. Drive one before you opinionate.

the tundra is the best truck currently on the market. even the new hemi won't have more hp than the current tundra, and, the new ram's hemi engine and frame are both mexican-made, while the toyota's engine and frame are american-made. With 75% american part content vs dodge's 68%, the tundra is also much more american. And when you take into account the superior resale value and towing, the game is over. i've worked for both companies, and toyota is the king of the automotive empire.
