Love the Rock, but one of the biggest problems is that our current generation isn't allowed to go unscripted. Therefore the cheractors are created by hollywood writers as opposed to the wrestlers themselves. John Cena is the top guy and top talker in WWE right now. And everyone in the arena was yelling "Cena Sucks" after a guy who hasn't step foot in WWE in years comes out and talks once. The difference in star power from back then to now is insane.

Around 10:26, you mention the Attitude era's emphasis on mid-card talent.
I know the guy isn't well-loved... but that's down to Vince Russo. Everywhere he goes, the spotlight is shined on mid-card talent, and since he departed in '99, the mid-card talent at WWE has languished in obscurity and indifference. Vince McMahon is good at pushing his main events... but his current creative team lacks Russo's talent at generating a good IC title feud, for example.

Hey guy great show, i got a question. When the rock came out he got a huge pop ,biggest that i can remember in a long time. When he called out cena it got me thinking. If they make a rock/ cena fued they would obviously have rock be the face but would that make cena the heel? If so do you think this could be the start of the big cena heel turn?

Love the Rock, but one of the biggest problems is that our current generation isn't allowed to go unscripted. Therefore the cheractors are created by hollywood writers as opposed to the wrestlers themselves. Imagine if the Rock was continually written as Rocky Maivilla, or Stone cold as the Million dollar Champ because Vince and his writers didn't let the wrestlers stretch their wings. We criticize current wrestlers when in reality we need to criticize the producers and directors.

I go to the local mall often.. never once seen a WWE shirt in the last year, UNTIL this week when I saw a teen wearing a WWE logo shirt and then another person later wearing an old Rock shirt from early 2000's.. All TNA needs to do is focus on themselves and their talent and give kick ass shows like the Impact tonight. Idiots think that because the Rock is back that TNA is dead.lol I guarantee that in 3 or 4 months people will forget and move on to the next thing that's going on in wrestling.

Also what do you think about the whole Mistico/ Del Rio situation? heard there was backstage heat on having two of mexicos biggest stars on the rosters.

@thecreed91 That's what I figure. I think Vince is hoping that the Cena heel turn rumors have blown over by now, and the Rock will be the way to turn him when less people are expecting it. And really it's actually a much better opportunity than the Barrett feud when everyone was expecting it.
