Why does everyone do it this way? Just look up oliverisocool1's piston door. I also invented the same design as his by myself, but when I saw his video I didn't bother to make a video myself, for the sake of not being called a stealer.

thanks for this tutorial! I used it to make a 30 long staircase (over hidden lava) with a reverse switch at the end to hit in case anything was following me.

@MrMagicalScrewdriver easy, you just drag the redstone wires under the ground, and make a wall, infront of the pistons. :D

@LoVe2beSheep the only problem is that the wall would have an indent, you'd have to make it look casual by making another indent for as long as the wall goes (every -- blocks there is an indent)
