I had my first smoochy dance to this song and will never forget the girl who danced with me, she had dirty ears, so i asked her for a date because no one else did and i felt sorry for her. When we met up on our date i gave her a bar of soap and she gave me a toothbrush. We never did meet up again, but i often wonder if she still has the soap because i still have the toothbrush and use it every week
My mom gave me her old song book and I searched for the songs... that's how I found this - and I'm loving it! Thank you mom for introducing this song to me.
Teresa Brewer was just a voice when this song occupied a top spot in local radio stations (early 60's)...in a small village called Villamonte.

Oh, darlin' Theresa Brewer thanks for all the joy and beauty of your "golden voiced songs" we teenagers loved in the 1960's.
