Strange you said that. How can Joo play too defensive, being a defensive player? He is one of THE most, if not THE most offensive defensive player in the world, hence his current no. 10 ranking in the world. He nearly beat Ma Long this year, has beat Schlager, Kreanga and many other greats. Joo is no normal defensive player, and although he's not no. 1 in the world, he has what it takes to be a champion.

Damn, i dont like Dima at all, not because Joo lost to him. But Dima is very good against defenders, because he has a very hard first TS and smashes the little bit too high chops relentlessly. Kinda hard for defenders to get along with low chops against the spinny TS of him as well. Also he is very good at ballooning so only a few counterattacks lead to direct points... But i dont like his style of play, against the top chinese he cant stand a chance.

I don't like his style either. It seems... messy. The Asian players' techniques are so clean. He looks really sloppy when he plays. His grunts also are pretty nasty too.

Well said. It's nice to see different styles instead of the cookie cutter Asian forehand attacking build. It's always refreshing to see somebody with strange technique (cough cough Damien Eloi) do well.

Boll's style of play is the most consistent and cleanest, in my opinion. The Chinese are the most technical players..
