  • I use this stuff in all my cars. My Town Cars were shuddering from the torque converters- starting around 50,000-miles. Now we use Lubegard in all of our Town Cars.

Some have over 400,000-miles on the original transmission

We usually get over 300,000-miles out of a Town Car with no power-train problems. I even use Lubeguard in my private vehicles as well. I was never a believer in products like this, but now I really believe in the Red Lube guard. None of our cars has ever shuddered again.

  • 2001 Malibu had a 1-2 shift shutter at hard throttle. This stoped it with no other issues.

  • @JosephEaorle: pull transmission dipstick out of its tube, & pour Lubegard down the tube. If your ATF is old and worn, yes you should first pump out the pan, remove the pan, replace the filter (& pan gasket if the old one isn't reusable), reinstall the pan, refill the pan, pump the remaining ATF out the cooler exit line (using the transmission's pump by running the engine) while pouring new fluid in until new fluid comes out, reconnect cooler line, THEN pour in Lubegard.

  • Worked in my 92 accord with 200k plus on it, this stuff really works

  • Lubeguard is one of the few "additives" that actually does what it claims to do. I've used it many times in many different vehicles, and I always get outstanding results. The best combo you can do is get the ATF treament and the Oil treatment and run both of them in your car. Every car I've done that in I got better MPG's as well as smooth as silk shifting and engine reving!

  • Agree with above. My 200k automatic transmission started acting erratic with hard shifiting from 1-2 and slipping up in the higher gears. I did a fluid exchange with Royal Purple ATF and a filter change. Although the upper gear shifting was a little smoother, the other problems were still there (hard-shifiting and slight slipping). I then added Lubegard Red and only after about 60 miles of driving I started seeing a noticable difference in the shifting.

  • Ok, how do you get it in there without changing the filter and gasket?

  • cocain in a bottle

  • This stuff really works! I lost 1st gear, starting off in 2nd. The Governor was sticking in my Auto-tranny. I put in a bottle of LubeGard ATF Protectant. Within 20 miles it started to work and got better as I drove. Im going to use this with every fluid and filter change. I wish I did this before. Good stuff works.
