The Twilight Saga can not even come close to TVD. Twilight sucks!!! If it wasn't for the wolf scenes in the last movie I would have fallen asleep. But this what culture has come to, accepting good looking people in a boring ass movie mixing it up with a little soft vamp=sell billions.
I don't mean to dis all the Twilight fans but I think Bella and Edwards relationship is unhealthy... I mean Edward is way to possessive of Bella and Bella is so dependent on Edward that she ditches her friends... Also she doesn't think she is good enough for Edward and also when he leaves I get that someone would feel depressed and sad but to go all suicidal? I mean I don't know but that is just my opinion some might say it's true love but I just think it's a really unhealthy relationship.
crying isnt the only way of expressing feelings. And i think that bella is so much better person than elena who hugs stefan while damon is watching lol.

The whole problem with these comparison debates between Twilight, Harry Potter, and Vampire Diaries, i the fact that no-one looks both ways and actually takes time to do with what you're supposed to do in all Novels and films. If you just imagine yourselves in the situation that they're all in you'll understand what they're all about and how to appreciate them for what they are.

The Vampire Diaries = Great story about the traditional vampires we dress up as on Halloween, and love to read about in many books and watch in many films.
Vampire Diaries hands down, I mean come on they have amazing plot lines, and the dynamic characters are amazing. Also the fact that there is more violence I mean come on Twilight only had little wimpy fights. Also the romance between the three main characters is just so much more phenomenal then the twilight one. The one MAJOR fact is that it is not just based on the supernatural relationships like Twilight, Vampire diaries actually has human relationships too. oh and they are a hotter cast so.

First of all Elena doesn't go all emo and suicidal when she breaks up with Stefan. I watched Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse, and read Twilight, New Moon and half of the Eclipse book, then I couldn't continue, it bored me to death, it was the same thing over and over again, Bella's obsesive love for Edward I mean,
I totally prefer TVD, it has blood, the vampires are actually vampires with fangs and they burn in the sun, the werewolves are actually werewolves and not mutant-dogs/shapeshifters and Elena and Katherine are the best female leads ever! much better than emo-Bella
This is one of those few movies with en ensemble which is truly an all star cast working to the best of their powers namely because actors like this one were not that well known at the time they were working on this film and took advantage of their opportunity at fame. I am impressed. You can finish watching it at look4movie!
Paul Wesley is better and sexier then Robert Pattinson, Plus Paul Wesley is fully polishh!!! Elena is better then Bela. After watching vampire diaries I realised how shit twilight is and I used to like twilight aswell.

Tried reading the Twilight books and i just couldnt do it. They bore after the first few chapters. I watched the movie and it wasnt so great either. I think Twilight movies would be better if it had a good director, and script writers.
VPD all the way, now their books have me addicted, and so the show.
Bella in twilight shows no true sadness, while Elena does. Not once have I seen Bella cry in the twilight series.
Acting: VD > Twilight
The vampires and werewolves are completely different. VD vampires don't sparkle and actually stick to the myth of them burning in daylight. The werewolves in twilight, however, look more CGI'd. Not a huge factor.

And overall, Twilight seems too serious, no real humor is put into it unlike VD.
whenever the first Twilight movie came out almost my whole school was wearing shirts and talking about how cool it was. i finally got to see it and i relized how stupid it was. then i saw Full Moon and i didnt get it at all and when Eclipse came out i thought it was Ok. then i found out about TVD at their 2nd season i wanted to watch it cause im sorta ino vampire stuff and i relized that it was so cool and Twilight is just about fairies. TVD IS AWESOME, CLEAVER, (sometimes FUNNY), DRAMA, SEXY!!!

Like something is missing in your life, and you don't want anything else to overwhelm you. But when you have parents that are divorced, you really don't care what happens to you or who you meet for that matter. Because they can't do anything to stop you really. Especially for Bella. Nobody really stopped her from marrying Edward and becoming a vampire.
I don't really care at all who is better. Cos you really can't compare Elena to Bella coos when you read VD books they are either in Elena's pov or the other characters pov. When you read TW, Bella's pov is the majority of the series. Elena is potrayed as a normal high school girl who lost both her parents in a car accident and trying to survive high school. Bella is not a normal high school girl who has her parents but they are divorced. When you lose your parents, you feel overwhelmed.
I honestly think the only thing they two have in common is vampires. Other than that it's too different to be compared. TVD is about a bunch of different characters and their problems, witches, curses, and stuff like that. Whereas Twilight focuses on Bella, her hardships, and her story. Too different to compare, if you ask me.
I wouldn't say that Elena is better than Bella... ok, maybe a bit. Bit they're still both idiots. Elena kiss' with her boyfriends brother, and Bella kiss' with her bestfriend infront of her boyfriend..
I wish LJ Smith had gotten even SOME of the millions Meyer got with her inferior ripoff. It's so unfair but Smith's dumb publisher didn't market VD like Meyer's publisher did Twilight.
before i watched TVD I thought it copied Twilight and that Twilight was better, then I started watching TVD and its like 10000000 X better in every way, my favourite way is that in Twilight there are like 3 hot characters but in TVD EVERY CHARACTER IS SMOKING HOT! <3
And yes... I do know that Bella ends up having a child, but she was begging Edward to turn her LONG before she ever ended up pregnant! It was pure luck that she ended up with that family, had Edward gone through with it and turned before she was pregnant, she would have never had that child.
I also think that her obsession with her looks being part of her reasoning to be turned is a disgusting message to be sending to young girls.
It was evident that there was no backstory behind Twilight.
Recent episodes show that Elena isn't willing to give up her future to be with Stefan. I loved it when Elena tearfully said, 'I was supposed to grow up. Decide if I want to have kids and start a family. Grow old. I was supposed to have a lifetime of those choices, and now it`s all gone. I don`t want to be a vampire, Stefan. I never wanted to be one."
Bella is so willing to throw away life. How exactly does that make her a good role model?
On of my favourite things about Elena is that she is selfless and compassionate. Her whole motivation throughout the series is protecting the people that she loves, whether it be from Katherine or Klaus. She even BREAKS UP with Stefan, the love of her life, makes a deal with Elijah, and is repeatedly willing to sacrifice herself in order to protect the people that she loves.
Bella, on the other hand, is willing to never see her family again in order to be with Edward.
I think vampire diaires is better because, the story more interesting and of course Damon, he the vampire that you don't want to meet in a dark alley, but then when you set your eyes on him, you want to be with him, even if he does bite you. Twilight is just a love story, and vampire that sparker is not cool and not threathing. And Damon can beat Edward, not because he more sexy then Edward, but he's older then him and drink blood. Unlike Edward he does not.
I prefer the vampire diaries because it has REAL vampires (not fairys like twilight) I like the blood and gore in the vampire diaries and I think that Elena sets 1000000000 times more of a good example than Bella. Bellas very sexual but Elena is strong and independent and Bella decides to be sad when she dosnt get what she wants. Im not calling Stephenie Meyer a copeyer but she uses alot of material that was used in the vampire diaries. (elena is also prettier than bella :-) ) TEAM KATHERINE!!!

I love how the show not only has vampires but it also has witches and werewolves which really open up a lot of possibilities to the series. Having Katherine come back also gives this story line a lot of sparks, which I love. Twilight is really boring compared to The Vampire Diaries.

I prefer the Vampire Diaries because it didn't change certain characteristics that come with being a vampire, like being toast by the sun, the ferocity of the killings and all the gore. VD is awesome & I hope they keep doing a fantastic job. Ian aka Damon is so cool, gorgeous and fierce. But you know what to each its own, whatever entertains you is all the counts.

When Edward leaves Bella, Bella just sits there in her room like she's desperate
When Stefan leaves Elena, Elena does everything possible to bring him back even if it means risking her own life
When Edward goes into the Sunlight, he sparkles
When Damon goes into the Sunlight, he burns (more realistic)
When Jacob turns, he doesn't show any kind of proses and likes to turn
When Tyler turns, he shows pain and wish he doesn't have to turn

I watched Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse, and read Twilight, New Moon and half of the Eclipse book, then I couldn't continue, it bored me to death, it was the same thing over and over again, Bella's obsesive love for Edward I mean,
I totally prefer TVD, it has blood, the vampires are actually vampires with fangs and they burn in the sun, the werewolves are actually werewolves and not mutant-dogs/shapeshifters and Elena and Katherine are the best female leads ever! much better than emo-Bella

This is one of those few movies with en ensemble which is truly an all star cast working to the best of their powers namely because actors like this one were not that well known at the time they were working on this film and took advantage of their opportunity at fame. Tried reading the Twilight books and i just couldnt do it. They bore after the first few chapters. I watched the movie and it wasnt so great either. I think Twilight movies would be better if it had a good director, and script writers.

Bella in twilight shows no true sadness, while Elena does. Not once have I seen Bella cry in the twilight series.
Acting: VD > Twilight
The vampires and werewolves are completely different. VD vampires don't sparkle and actually stick to the myth of them burning in daylight. The werewolves in twilight, however, look more CGI'd. Not a huge factor.
Myth: VD > Twilight
And overall, Twilight seems too serious, no real humor is put into it unlike VD.

whenever the first Twilight movie came out almost my whole school was wearing shirts and talking about how cool it was. i finally got to see it and i relized how stupid it was. then i saw Full Moon and i didnt get it at all and when Eclipse came out i thought it was Ok. then i found out about TVD at their 2nd season i wanted to watch it cause im sorta ino vampire stuff and i relized that it was so cool and Twilight is just about fairies. TVD IS AWESOME, CLEAVER, (sometimes FUNNY), DRAMA, SEXY!!!

Like something is missing in your life, and you don't want anything else to overwhelm you. But when you have parents that are divorced, you really don't care what happens to you or who you meet for that matter. Because they can't do anything to stop you really. Especially for Bella. Nobody really stopped her from marrying Edward and becoming a vampire.

I don't really care at all who is better. Cos you really can't compare Elena to Bella coos when you read VD books they are either in Elena's pov or the other characters pov. When you read TW, Bella's pov is the majority of the series. Elena is potrayed as a normal high school girl who lost both her parents in a car accident and trying to survive high school. Bella is not a normal high school girl who has her parents but they are divorced. When you lose your parents, you feel overwhelmed.

I honestly think the only thing they two have in common is vampires. Other than that it's too different to be compared. TVD is about a bunch of different characters and their problems, witches, curses, and stuff like that. Whereas Twilight focuses on Bella, her hardships, and her story. Too different to compare, if you ask me.

And yes... I do know that Bella ends up having a child, but she was begging Edward to turn her LONG before she ever ended up pregnant! It was pure luck that she ended up with that family, had Edward gone through with it and turned before she was pregnant, she would have never had that child.
I also think that her obsession with her looks being part of her reasoning to be turned is a disgusting message to be sending to young girls.
It was evident that there was no backstory behind Twilight.

On of my favourite things about Elena is that she is selfless and compassionate. Her whole motivation throughout the series is protecting the people that she loves, whether it be from Katherine or Klaus. She even BREAKS UP with Stefan, the love of her life, makes a deal with Elijah, and is repeatedly willing to sacrifice herself in order to protect the people that she loves.
Bella, on the other hand, is willing to never see her family again in order to be with Edward.

I think vampire diaires is better because, the story more interesting and of course Damon, he the vampire that you don't want to meet in a dark alley, but then when you set your eyes on him, you want to be with him, even if he does bite you. Twilight is just a love story, and vampire that sparker is not cool and not threathing. And Damon can beat Edward, not because he more sexy then Edward, but he's older then him and drink blood. Unlike Edward he does not.

I prefer the vampire diaries because it has REAL vampires (not fairys like twilight) I like the blood and gore in the vampire diaries and I think that Elena sets 1000000000 times more of a good example than Bella. Bellas very sexual but Elena is strong and independent and Bella decides to be sad when she dosnt get what she wants. Alright, When I first saw this debate on VD vs.Twilight I immediately fired a response saying Twilight was better. What I hadnt done was watch an episode of VD, so I did and since then I have been sucked into the show and have to say that it is by far WAY BETTER THAN TWILIGHT! …(cont.) think that the whole aspect of having Damon and Stefan being brother that hate each other but love each other on the inside really gives the storyline a lot of emotion. I love how the show not only has vampires but it also has witches and werewolves which really open up a lot of possibilities to the series. Having Katherine come back also gives this story line a lot of sparks, which I love. Twilight is really boring compared to The Vampire Diaries.

I prefer the Vampire Diaries because it didn't change certain characteristics that come with being a vampire, like being toast by the sun, the ferocity of the killings and all the gore. VD is awesome & I hope they keep doing a fantastic job. Ian aka Damon is so cool, gorgeous and fierce. But you know what to each its own, whatever entertains you is all the counts.
