I would like to thank anyone who has ever rescued a border collie, or has adopted one from an animal shelter. Not only are you giving that dog a forever home. But you are giving yourself a friend for life. Border collies are unlike any other breed of dog, they seem to understand us more than we realize. And it makes me very happy to see people who love the breed as much as i do. Thank you to everyone who has given a border collie a forever home.

just had to send u Dexter..such a lucky dog to find this wonderful home..i know you will..Priscella has found her dog.abandoned homeless in Turkey..never had a home.now rescued and at 10 months old now at foster home in Holland..to be going home this Friday to her and all the family.
it made me so happy that you didn't get a puppy puppy and a full grown dog because everyone looks for a puppy puppy and don't bother even taking a glance at full grown dogs.. and its most likely that full grown dogs are put down.. like ALL 3 of my dogs we got they were a year or older n fact the do we just got 2 weeks ago she is 5 and she is blind but i love my baby girl soooo much! ppl just think about full grown dogs they were pups to and puppys grow up they arent puppys forever(: ALWAYS ADOPT

oh my gosh I love Dexter! he reminds me of my puppy, Shanti, a 6 month old border collie cross golden retriever, they have so similar face markings and colours but my my girl is almost all white everywhere else (with a shorter coat) everything he does reminds me of her, especially the water jumping and biting, he is just amazing and gorgeous! <3 him to pieces!!!

Dexter is such a lucky dog:)! He is full of personality, spirit and life:)! I can't imagine why anyone would give this dog to a shelter. Did the shelter tell you why he was given away?
Dexter is a very handsome dog. The GSD who passed by was quite handsome too:).

My guess is that he was born in a stray litter or someone relinquished as a small puppy. He was in Tennesse with a foster for about a month until he was transported. From what I heard stray dogs roam the streets quite heavily there (and other southern towns)
@CrazyDragonCross I had a doggie dna test done and it said he had trace amounts of german shepard and beagle in him! haha, dont know about the beagle... but I think he's mostly a herding type mix
