Phish just earned a whole new level of respect from me! I'm a huge Little Feat fan from day one and these guys rocked it! The vocals are a little weak( there will never be another Lowell George :( but these guys just nailed that groove!! awesome post!

I'm a BIG little feat fan for the last 3 decades, so I love Waiting on Columbus. And Phish made the album alive after 30 years later with the exsactly sounds of openning with the audiences. It's really amazing and miracle. Page sounds exsactly the same as Lowell, and he does the same for Robert Plant when they play Zep. And Trey? He does Lowell and Paul's twin guitars just by himself alone... And Phish does other albums like Pink Floyd, Beatles, G.D., etc.besides their own music.They are maniac!

Does anyone get that PHiSH is doing this to honour a band they love? Did anyone notice that Little Feat covers SIAJ routinely, and has done so for a nearly a decade? It's not supposed to be BETTER than WFC, or note for note PERFECT like a "really good cover band". It's an homage. And having a great time doing it. I'm astounded and thrilled for the, for LF, and for us that they did this. And how many who missed WFC will discover it? WTG Guys!

Vocals may be off bc they are not Lowell but damn if this was instumental you would be singing a different tune. If you knew anything about music that is.

Phish sounds like a really good cover band doing a sanitized version of one Little Feat's signature tunes. Why the hell would I want to hear Little Feat do a Phish song?

BTW, does Phish cover any Allman Brothers?

Little Feat actually covers Sample in Jar just so you know. i was shocked when i was streaming this concert live and heard the intro to this little feat album, i was so excited that phish is doing something to keep little feats music going and spreading it to young people, its what the world needs!

Phish does them justice. Just like they did to The Beatles, The Talking Heads, The Who, Velvet Underground, and The Rolling Stones. Of course, the original bands played their stuff on point. Phish isn't trying to improve or sound like the original band - that's why it's called a cover. I'd love to see any of those bands try to play YEM or Fluffhead. That would be interesting, but pale in comparison to Phish. It is what it is.

@fluffhead717 Well said good sir. I'd have to concur. As much musical chops as those bands have, they probably couldn't take any Phish album and do it as much justice as Phish can to their album. Those bands aren't jam bands. They just don't have the musical adaptability that Phish does. Not in any disrespect, because I love all these bands. But Phish just has it.........
