im doing these infamous butterflies at school and honestly!, i give props to whoever is the "patient" cuz fishing with the needle hurts like a bitch!!!....i find it easy to just try again if the first try doesnt work out. Regardless good job :)
@MrDaniel7734 Yes, You sure can. It's a butterfly draw. Same needle recommended for infants and elderly. Not recommended if you need more than 3 tubes draw/ although it can be done.
this was great for me. I will have to learn how to do this next month, and I am pretty fricken nervous. I'm trying to desenitize my self to it before hand, as much as I can anyway. Thanks for posting, and good job!
what? please, no invertion is allowed while the tube is in the holder, so as to prevent any additives in the tubes from leaking into your bloodstream.
Wow! Its nice when you are learning to have a "patient" with patience! I am in Phlebotomy school right now and haven't got to do a butterfly/hand sticky yet. Very good, I am impressed!
@misslips911 What a marvelous instructor you were in this video! No lie! Are you still teaching students on venipuncture & phlebotomy? I hope so, friend. And kudos to Lisa, too! I like the fact that she said she was afraid of hurting you. That is so first class. You both are champs! A-#1! I bet Lisa makes an excellent phlebotomist one day, if she isn't already.
Pretty brave to let her do that to you.

@jdsnz1886 t's my hand that she is working on. Lisa seems very nervous and jittery.. but she did an amazing job. I never had a problem with her.

Butterfly needle is much more easier ( for phlebotomist & patient ) less painful and easier to maneuver. Well at least for me it is. Lol.

Do you have any advice on the fear of needles? I have to have my wisdom teeth out and they have to give me an IV.

i had this done but further up the arm.
this the worst kind fo needle.. the entrance of the hole is rlly big.. and its curved =/
VanillaPanama 2 years ago
curved? lol where did you get your blood drawn? HELL? HAHHA
misslips911 2 years ago
whthe end of the needle is somewhat cut off like slanted, so the needle tip is wider, curved isnt really the actual word for it
VanillaPanama 2 years ago
@misslips911 please don't be a smart mouth
he/she didn't mean curved, there is a an angle which helps insertion at the needle's point
