While the 95 P&P is my all-time favorite (I've seen 4 different versions), this one actually exceeded my expectations. There was one glaring problem. One thing that made me cringe above all else. "Well he loved me better and Darcy couldn't stand it." I'm sorry but he sounds like he's 3. I just thought that it was a stupid line to put in the movie. If you're going to add a line, at least make it good. If you can't, quote the book.

Matthew was the best Darcy ever. I've read the book and when i watched this movie I thought, "yep this is mr Darcy right here" Of course there are those who would say that Colin Firth is the best but each to their own. For me Matthew is a far better actor and it shows...he nailed the character down to the last little detail.

Yeah, I was disappointed by Mr.Darcy as well.. They must have had some terrible looking people auditioning or good looking people who couldn't act so they had to lower their standards lol. Kind of difficult to watch him though.. xD So very different than i pictured him.

The A & E version of Pride and Prejudice and Collin Firth as Darcy was and is, the only Darcy that really nailed the role. His stare alone was so intense that it almost had it's own silent dialog. Truly a superior performance. But then again, having Jane Austin in the mainstream theaters, I can't complain too much since she is one of my favorite authors.

I think the video (haven't seen the 2nd part yet) is a very good recap for a person who's already seen the movie. The scenes were cut a little too abruptly so the relationship between Darcy and Lizzie didn't show very well. Fortunately I've seen the movie at least 40 times and you've done my life easier by putting together the key scenes so I don't have to scroll my copy... Great job! *added to favorites*
