@chipoochie Because seagulls don't respect any laws. They're kind of like the gangsters (or gypsies) of the bird world except they don't usually sell anything or extort other birds, just rob them and run when something badder than them tries the same with them. I'm rambling now but that whole "running when something badder than them comes along" thing doesn't apply to their young when you go for the babies (including eggs) the whole flock comes after you. Hear me now believe me later.

Wasn't it inn the book where Shade tries to call up his "sound map" but Marina says it wouldn't work? I believe it was because she said that her Ears were a different shape so that the images would get messed up.

i just relized that this episode takes place around my city!

the island is Bowen island, the city is vancouver. (the mountains being grouse and cypress) and the cliffs are a stylized version of lightouse park off of the north shore. :)

I like the animation. I do not care for how the echolocation is portrayed. The Sound waves should be larger and wider, they are not narrow circles that head in one direction. As for the plot, no show or movie can beat a book.

Darkwing is a book that is not related to Silverwing, Sunwing, or Firewing. It's just another book about how a cirochopter finds out he's a bat.

Silverwings are smaller than Brightwings, meaning they might not be stronger flyers. I can't remember how it was in the book.

Just because it's on a non-Canadian station doesn't mean it isn't Canadian. Silverwing was created by Bardel Entertainment, which is located in British Columbia (a province in Western Canada). It first started out on the Canadian channel, Teletoon (which is like Cartoon Network), then it spread to Europe and then the USA. It's roots are still Canadian, no matter what channel airs it.
