The G15 V1 is better then the v2, it is basically the G19. I think they stopped making the v1 cause its cheaper to make the v2 and sold the v2 for the same price,

Then the come out with the g19 which is basically the same thing as the g15 v1 and are selling it for 200 bucks.

It's not just beacouse it's has a very nice touch of the buttons, it's also robust and will take a huge amount of abuse. But it's not just that. It just looks so awsome (it looks much better in real life than on a picture), oldschool look but it's such a clean design that it could as well be modern. Not to mention it also sounds nice. i have a G15 on another computer and it's very good but far away from model M.

The lcd can display all sorts of parameters, loads of applets for it...

lighttech258852, the g key macros need to be keystorkes, so the only way to do it is if your lighting program has shortcut keys, so an example is ctrl+space=lights down by 10%, then you could program that to a key, but if there is no keyboard commands what so ever then sorry i dont see a way to do what you want

It's not a clock, it's an LCD screen.

If you bothered to get proper drivers for it, you could have it show a bunch of things, based on what you're doing: It can show how many emails you have, misc. game info, you can look at the weather...the possibilities are almost literally endless. It's not a big deal, sure, but why would you then get the V2...which still has the screen? We're not arguing the G11 here, so just kindly take that out of the equation.

Its customizable; I set mine to show the temps on both of my CPU cores (running a Core 2 Duo), GPU temp, graphical representation of CPU load, volume, memory usage, time, and what song is being played (useful when I'm playing a game fullscreen and looking at the desktop isn't possible).

I also have other apps showing me server name, IP, and ping.

It's not for everyone, but I'd like to keep an eye on my temps since I OC my computer, so I bought this keyboard.
