  • Self Shielded Cored Wire OK if you're not welding sheet metal. Gas shieldied has lower spatter, smoother welds and less clean-up

  • flux core and stick welding rule no cylinders to mess around with

  • @6013welder For perspective, 60+% of all industrial welding is done with gas shielding MIG either solid wire or gas shielded flux cored wire. If welding out doors self shieldied cored wire and stick have the advantage of tollerating more wind.
