Yes Ms Dionne used to be able to sing very high and hold notes superbly well. She and Cissy sounded very similar esp on the Young Gifted and Black duet they recorded together. I think the rigors of touring, smoking and age have taken their toll on her voice. Smoking has set the voice of great singers down in their latter years but Dionne still sings. love her inspite of the change of voice. A legend growing older. always, luv ,Major

@maxwell1605 She has a lower voice but FAR from a hot mess, I have seen her live twice in the past few years and she still belts and has a very powerful instrument. She is also 70 and quit smoking years ago.
