  • Ready for something hilarious? I got the cosmos ii and this card in the system hahaha i will upgrade eventually but am waiting for nvidia 600 series.

  • I fooled .. I bought the HD6770, and had no adapter .. tomorrow I'll have to go buy one

  • @AlfaceC

No need for that, if you mean that you need to have 2x 6pin and u have one? Well easy fix for that, use molex adapter which converters 2x4pin into one 6 pin, ez fix, no need for new psu or new gpu XD

  • I bought the HD 6770, and I have the adapter dvi-vga female .. why?

  • idk.. i know that there are 3 difrent versions of that VGA... they give that adapter in most models XD (male dvi , female VGA)

if you have a CRT (like me haha) you'll find this usefull XD

  • i still have this in 2012

  • @Chargersball1 Same chipset but a Asus EAH5770 CuCore

  • @Chargersball1 lol i had this until 15-1-2012, now i have a new system that has the asus gtx 560 ti dcII top 1GB (=

  • @basbas63 i am just waiting for this years new gpus to come out

  • @Chargersball1 Is also an option, but i was able to get a great deal on it.. so why not :P

  • @Chargersball1 Same here although mine is the open cooler.

  • @ogdenmgaming ya i got the open cooler as well, looking for a good upgrade soon

  • @Chargersball1 Its still sick. Its a really good Graphics card!

  • @Chargersball1 So what?I still managed to run most games at max,in worst case scenario i nedded to scale down AA.

  • @RibaFish66 ??????

  • @Chargersball1 !!!!!!!!!

  • I've got one of these, what card should I upgrade to? I'd like to stay under $200 but I'd be willing to go up to $250.

  • @starwarsfan76 Probably stay where you are for now. Anything worth upgrading for would be about $300 or more. Might be able to find a deal on the 6950 somewhere.

  • @pendevil The 6950 is $220-$280 depending on the memory size and manufacturer.

  • @starwarsfan76 Forgot to note for the 2GB version, which I recommend over 1GB. No, you won't use it for most games now, but you will long before you upgrade again.

  • @pendevil The 2GB version is under $280 in some cases.

  • can i install it on intel 945gcnl motherboard

  • @imtanantoor If you have a pci express x16 slot the card also uses up two slots so make sure it has an empty one next to it and that you have room in your case 8.5 inches long 1.5 inches wide 4.1 inches tall and also make sure you have a power supply with at least one 6-pin pci express power cord and 400 watts of power.

  • 1:06 what's that cable? i need to use it in the graphic card when installing?

  • hehe, im still using this card runs battlefield 3 at 1920X1080 at high settings 25-35 fps, not bad but i think it may be time to upgrade XD i'll let this card retire playing youtube and a few blurays in my htpc until it dies.

  • kinda sad this day my card is working fine but the fan stop on spinning causing over heating and black screen :(

  • I have a Radeon hd4670, and an i7 720qm, with 8gb ddr3 ram :L In my 2 year old dell studio 16 xps. I can barely play it on high settings with full resolution on gta 4. But i guess it copes okay. Next laptop i get though, i will make sure i get an Nvidia gtx 570/580m.

Is there any way i can make it play more smoothly at the moment?

  • @omendark123 no, ur graphics suck.

  • @Vitoman901 Thanks. What do you have then? .And i suppose my graphics are okay, for a laptop that is 2 years old.

  • @omendark123 i have a HD5770 and im gonna buy a HD6950 or gtx560ti.

If ur gonna play battlefield on a desktop computer u should have atleast those graphics :)

  • read my comments below! and if you are going to play max settings, for most games the gtx570 is enough, but if you want to play all games maxed out, with at least 1600x1200 res., then you need at least a gtx580..

  • @steveelb1 Yeah linus benchmarked bf3 and 6950 2gb and gtx 570 was at the same level of fps, and im getting one of those cards, thx for the response though :)

  • Ohh sorry I haven't read your above comments! For you yes the gtx570 is that I would recommend, but yeah the Battlefield 3 can run perfectly on a gtx 560 (non TI), he won't need a gtx560TI. The TI is better, but if he doesn't have that much money, the gtx560(non TI) is good too... I tested the GTX560 (non TI) And it can run Battlefield 3 with some ULTRA, and the rest high settings (plus SSAO, and 2xMSAA max anisotropy, motion blur), and It resulted average 63FPS. I always said that the

  • non TI 560 is a shit, but after testing it, and seeing that it is 20-40% faster that the gtx460 (depending on game), I would say that is the lowest that I would recommend. But yeahh If you can spend $50-70 extra, then you will ger 15-20% better performance with a gtx560TI

  • @steveelb1 the 560 is not shit. it's a great card.

  • Yeah that is what I said! After testing I realized that it is an OK card! I have one in my collection... There are games which won't run maxed out on a 560, and a year from now it will be good for the newest games only with medium settings (SOME high) But I agree that is an OK card, and the lowest on the gamer card rank that I would recommend...

  • @steveelb1 oh alright. you have to admit that for the price (you can get them for about 179 sometimes) that they are pretty damned good.

  • I got it for $100, because of my work ;P

  • @steveelb1 but you're right for high def gaming they are the lowest of the nvidia cards. 550ti is pretty much no good for 1080p

  • Read my comment above too! You misunderstood what I said!

  • What's the difference between ASUS EAH 5770 Cucore and AMD5770?

(yeye i'm a noob.) I always thought they where the same.

  • Will a dual core 2.1ghz bottle neck this card?

  • @LaozDavid yeah, better off with a quadcore, amd had great quadcores for a good price, but is money is no object and max performance is essential go with intel

  • Yeah! ATI Does not have openCL, CUDA, the shader rendering is half as good as NVidias, and they don't have physx... They try to fool people with advertising, that their cards are faster, and they use (unrealistic) too much lighting! ATI s are not faster... The only reason why they have better FPS than NVidias, because they don't have physx (depending on games -15-40% performance!!!!!!!!!!), they don't have CUDA, they dont have OpenCL 1.1 (-10-15% performance loss), the shader rendering is a

  • LOT more simple (depending on the game -10 - 25% performance loss), so you cant exactly compare NVidias to ATI (AMD) s because on the NVidias, you can't turn lower the shader rendering, it's built in, and you cant turn off the open cl, and only some games let you to turn off physX... And at this time I was not talking about that the lighting is a lot more beautiful on NVidias... By the way, I am working for EA LA... If you wan't to compare NVidias to ATI s, count depending on game minus 30 -

  • And MOST!!! games are designed under, and for NVidia!!! Why do you think is that? Just think! And if you want to argue with me, please DON't, just call NVidia, they will tell you the same! But you can just call EA :) , or any other big Vid. game companies too, who will explain why they use NVidia platforms for their work! IF YOU WANT MAXIMUM GRAPHICS, ATI IS NOT THE WAY!

  • VTX3D 1GB Radeon HD 5770 can some1 tell what is this and is it the same and also is it any good?

  • @XIjimmyXIthq Its a 3 year old card.

    buy the hd 6xxx serie.

  • @TheKevco112 maths fail..

its only 2 yrs old card if u are not a hardcore gamer this card still can run with pretty good fps

  • does this run without having drx11

  • Can I run this card for my Amd Athlon II x2 250 with a motherboard of MCP61D3-ICAFE w/ 2GB of RAM without problems? I'll buy it soon before the DotA 2 beta released on public, or could it even play TF2 on high settings on my proccessor? Thanks

  • @niczonfire i have a athlon II x 2 215 and a stock mini atx motherboard and a XFX 5770 . runs great i have 6 GB of ram you should get altleast 2 more gigs to run newer games but the video card works great at high settings on games

  • @niczonfire you almost have a identical system to me. i have the same card as well. it WILL play TF2 on maxed settings.

  • Is this the same performance as sapphire?

  • will this card run BF3?

  • @dannyburlo yes but you will need a computer to install it to first

  • @dannyburlo Yes it will providing you have a decent CPU. E.g. A Quad Core +.

On my XFX 5770 Single Sot & Q8300 @ 2.5Ghz I managed a very respectful and very playable constant 30+ with graphic settings on high on my PC in the beta.

  • @dannyburlo yes it will actually. having this card currently, it runs fine on low, and skeptikal on medium..but if you want it to run on high or ultra, you might need to get lets say a i7 or a phenom II x6.

  • Read my comments above, and as an advice, get NVidia, and get at least a gtx560 (non ti)! That will smoke it!

But again, read my comments above!

  • Today my HD 5770 failed. it was good one and a half years. Good card.. Will not post video :(((((( sad face

  • will this card work even without the 6-pin power connector?

  • @taejamhaha no

  • still got this and not upgrading for awhile

  • Linus, i've been watching your videos for years, and now i have a question.

I want to buy this card, but some people told me it overheats.

So, my question to you is:

Does it overheat? What's it's idle/full load ºC temperature?

Thanks for helping me out mate.

  • @SiquelaTrevisan No it dosent overheat ans is actullay kinda cool and quiet

  • How big is the difference between the different brands? XfX, Club3d, HIS etc...

  • @theflipking

coolers, warranty, accessories... in general XFX just give you the card and a few accessories but have double lifetime warranty.

Sapphire usually make the best cooling for the cards (so does Asus)

  • What the hell Battleforge? I dont think I got any of that with my 5770.

  • Anyone know what FPS I would average on TF2 with this card + 4 gig ram + 1090T phenom x6 CPU?

  • @PSPISOGAME

    80+ I'd think.

  • @PSPISOGAME

I get around 275 to 300 because that's the limit. My CPU is only a quad core Phenom ii.

Dude, this card kicks ass for Source Engine games (i.e all the games Valve make) and Call of Duty games. It also runs Battlefield Bad Company 2 pretty well.

  • @Edge0fPain Alright, thanks (= I'll definitely be getting it then.

  • @PSPISOGAME

    nice dude :]

It can run Crysis at full settings as long as you don't turn on Anti Aliasing. Crysis 2 runs faster than Crysis if you're interested :D

  • The GTX560 (non TI) will run crysis 2 on max settings, with max anti aliasing, etc... And read my comments above...

  • @steveelb1 running crysis maxed out at what resolution? 1280x720? cause my factory overclocked GTX570 Twin Frozr III PE gets destroyed by crysis on very high with 16xQ AA, it is barely holding on to 30fps and I am pretty sure it is a more powerful gpu than a 560

  • For e.g. on an I5 2500 with 6gb of 1333mhz RAM, wit only a 7K rpm hard drive with the GTX560, we would have somewhere from 10 to 15FPS performance loss compared to the benchmark pc, only because the pc is hell a lot slower! If your pc specs are under the above mentioned I5 example, you can have 15 to 30FPS loss... And if you have a good pc, and only a 550w power supply, your vid card (gtx570) will be ok, but it will NOT run on maxim speed! Under heavy gaming! I would recommend at least 65ow!

  • A very strong pc, is able to do HD gaming with a gtx570! (over 1600x1200) And an I3, Core 2 quad, and not top I5 CPU's, with under 8GB 1800mhz RAM, and under 10K rpm hard drive, probably won't be able to perform with HD gaming, and under middle to high spec I5's, with under 6gb 1600mhz ram, with under a 7K rpm hard drive won't be able to do 1600x1200 gaming on max. graphics gaming with your gtx570 (maybe it can, but that will be under 40FPS). And if you have a smaller pc like that,

  • @steveelb1 Specs:

    Core i7 3.4Ghz

    8GB RAM 1600mhz

    MSI GTX 570 OC

    Corsair AX650

Game installed on Vertex 3 120GB SSD

Trust me its not that my system can't handle my graphics card, its the fact that my graphics card cannot handle crysis which at all maxed out settings 1080p with 16xQ REQUIRES AT LEAST 2 570 SLI. 560 will die running it at those settings.

  • I don't know on our test bench was able to run it with 40 - 50 FPS... Maybe I should have checked on a smaller pc to be more accurate... But you probably are right, you can still see that our test bench is at least 20 to 30% better than your pc and we have 16 fans, and water cooling, and ram fans etc, as an extra of that 20 to 30% performance... But that is why it is called a test bench, because it can pull off the max load on a video card...

  • But I believe you, I actually have a smaller pc, with a 2600k non sandy bridge 3.4ghz, with 16gb 2000mhz ram, and 1200w psu, and NO ssd, but I have gtx590sli, so i play all the games with max graphics! But I don't know how a gtx 560 would perform on it... So I will trust you on that. I can't argue, because I didn't do the test with your pc...

  • And again we sponsor only EVGA, because it can pull off 10% better STEADY! performance with their factory overclock than any other companies!

  • Check these on youtube (30fps, but locked, and 30fps +over... not very good, but it doesn't look slow to me!, although 60 is better. What I wanted to say, that it looks playable to me, and I don't say that often, and most of these guys have 20 -30% slower pc than you, and your pc is 20 - 30% slower from the test bench :P) and dont forget that recording will slow it! But I have to admit, that the test bench scored 10 - 20 fps better than these guys who I have seen on youtube):

  • vid 1: Crysis warhead gtx 570 MAX SETTINGS! gameplay [HD] (by JR262133)

vid 2: Crysis Warhead All maxed 16xAA GTX570 (by clank108)

vid 3:Crysis Max Settings GTX 570 Gainward Phantom OC i5 2500k 1920x1080 (by esparcocl)

  • And if you have a smaller pc like that, you will need a gaming pc tower, with at least 4 fans, and water cooling, because those will overheat a lot more, because they are under full load! If they overheat, they can loose up to 20% !!!!!!!!!! of their performance!

  • And we (EA) recommend EVGA, because they are the most reliable, and the factory overclock is better than the MSI's! EVGA has a fix overclock speed, where MSI's is fluctuating due to power saving functions... And yes, that means that EVGA is overheating more, but that is why I would recommend a top notch cooling system, with EVGA's double fan cards, not with the single fan!

  • @steveelb1 This MSI card is actually an upgrade from an EVGA GTX 460 1GB. I upgraded because 1) GTX 460 could not handle demanding games at 1080p and 2) because it was a reference design and it was completely awful under heavy overclocking due to its crappy power delivery, MSI is a lot more stable even though I am taking it further than factory overclock. (I am not talking about MSI reference design because its the same thing as EVGA, I am talking about Twin Frozr editions)

  • LOL! You were right! I brought home a gtx570, and I put it in my pc... Crysis warhead NO freeze, no slow down, but only 35 fps average! on max settings... Which is ok, but not for me.. If somebody wants better, get an extreme pc, or a better card, or go sli (still 3 ways to go) ;P

(but again we do NOT recommend EVGA, and the best EVGA s overclock is fix overclock, msi s is NOT! With EVGA you can turn off power savings which will enable fix core speed, even when not gaming! And I am not

  • talking about which has the highest overclock... (although I checked it online, that the GTX 570 OC twin fozr III's effective overclock speed is the SAME as the EVGA GTX570 SC overclock's speed which is 4.5ghz (and only the effective counts) But as with the twin Frozr, the speed will fluctuate more, because the fix power saving option, which I also checked, that you can't turn off, and with EVGA you can. I also checked, that MSI has

  • MOST of the returns, and damaged products, followed by ZOTAC, then Gigabyte...And EVGA is the most reliable! And EVGA has double fans too, and it has wind pipe system (don't mix it up with the heat pipes!) like PNY does too etc... And also, EVGA's SLI IS THE fastest!!! SLI sollution on the market! But for EVGA it is still recommended a good cooling system (case cooling), if you will turn off the power saving, after overclocking! And we do NOT recommend overclocking, over the standard factory OC

  • OOPs. I meant we DO recommend EVGA

  • And the stock speed of the MSI is higher than the EVGA s, but that doesn't mean that MSI is faster! It is just the preference of the company, how high they set the limit for the stock speed! They are still the same cards, and you can set the speed in EVGA precision to the speed of the MSI, and it wont make a difference! EVGA just chose a lower stock speed, because lot's of people have a NOT well cooled pc! But MSI's and EVGA's cards are practically the same. They have the same physical specs

  • and parts, they have the same amount of CUDA transistors, they have the same fab, and DIE size, same DIE counts, they have the same amount of SM counts, the same type of ram, and the same BUS width, THAT IS WHY ALL COMPANIES WILL HAVE AROUND THE SAME EFFECTIVE OVERCLOCK SPEED, because the gates, and the transmitters are NOT bigger, so there is a limited amount of data can flow through those, and they have the number of CUDA transmitters are the same on both, which limits the max speed to the

  • HAH! Do I know you? I am working for EA Digital Illusions CE... This is something that these guys just won't understand! Although your explanations are not 100% correct, I agree with most of it! I don't care, and check youtube at all, but this looked interesting! We will represent some new stuff next month at EA LA! If you are interested, I can send you an invitation to your EA ID...

  • Yeah, I have sent my ID! THX

  • ive got a question because i have the gigabyte version of the 5770 and while i record minecraft it even lags will it be my 4gb ram that is letting me down should i upgrade to 8gb?

  • @bammargeraskate96

Minecraft lags because it only uses just under 1 GB of RAM and that's it's limit. Or it may be your CPU. using Fraps uses your CPU a lot which bottlenecks the rest of the system

  • @Edge0fPain ok thanks for the info

  • Is this a good one?

  • @TheSantiayo

Yes but at this point I'd recommend a Radeon HD 6850

  • Comment removed

  • Will it work with pcie x16 ?

  • @transformerszlaja He said "This is a PCI Express 16x card" at 2:31 ;-)

  • @IlTheReaperII Yeah..I know but there are PCIE X16.(1.0),PCIE X 16(1.1)PCIEX 2.0,PCIE X 2.1....

  • @transformerszlaja I think the only thing changing is the information rate and the power supply, but there wouldn't be compatibility problems. Am I wrong ? I'm not really sure

  • they dont give Crossfire Bridge and they also give Assassins creed 1 insted of that one

  • i hve a fellin he is ber exited

  • i dont want to live on this planet anymore

  • can you run crysis 2 on this one

  • @TheNitFace

Of course. If you got a good processor and much ram it should be possible to play on the highest with 40+ fps, depending on processor and other things

  • @GreenGiantShit what prossesor shuld you recomend

  • @TheNitFace

An Intel Core i5 CPU with 3.20 GHz would not be bad. An i7 would be even better, depending on how much money you want to spend. Im not very experienced when it comes to processors im afraid, but one of those that i mentioned would work good i suppose.

  • @GreenGiantShit okay thanx :)

  • @GreenGiantShit im having i3 530 wht if i get this on the place of Gt 220 ?

  • @Corei3KinG

Is it a Geforce GT 220 graphic card? I got that one, and i must say, it's not good at all. It's terrible for gaming. Though i can play CS:S and TF2 with high settings.

  • hey pls post the unboxing and review of asrock P67 Pro3

  • I Prefer NVIDIA.

  • пулемет

  • Can AMD Phenom II X4 970 Black Edition runs well with this card?

  • @wongjiacheng1997 Of course it can. You won't be having any troubles.

  • can this card run the witcher 2 and BF3 i know that BF3 still not out but this card can be OC i read somewhere

  • @omac256 it can run witcher 2 at high to mid settings and at a modest resolution too. Well, BF 3 ? Not sure, but in a blog, I saw the recommended specs as a HD 6850. So, my guess, still wait for a bit more time until we get the exact PC specs.

  • someone tell me what AMD processor should i for this card, but my max budget is $100

  • @wongjiacheng1997 An AMD Phenom II X 3 720 @ 2.8 GHz is good enough. Honestly, any dual core processors can take it.

  • @wongjiacheng1997 ALSO: It costs something around 70-80 $

  • which card is best? this card or the GTX570?

  • @oHaiinexD

    GTX 570 of course !

  • @ZackMylon12 oh okay, i was a lil bit worried that maybe this card was just as good :P

  • is this the old version?

  • Hey I wondering if I can run this PCIe 2.1 card on a PCIe 2.0 port and how will the performance of the card be affected?

  • @edensvalcin It's the same thing. Nothing could go wrong. Worst case scenario, you'll have to update your BIOS for your motherboard. But that's unlikely to happen.

  • guys which one should I get, a Powercolor HD6770 or a Sapphire HD4850?

    which one is better?

  • @yanos626 6770 but depending on the price and what you need... and also the rest of your system...

  • @basbas63 found it for 125$ in my country, need it for gaming (ranging from the sims 3 and portal 2 to crysis 2 and gta IV)

my other specs are the Q8300 Quad @ 2.5 Ghz, 2GB DDR2 Ram, Gigabyte 600w psu, 17" monitor, and an intergrated graphics chipset gmax3100

  • @yanos626 hehe ok, get 2 extra GB of ram (especially for gta4) and the HD6770 (= would do your pc good

  • @yanos626 The HD6770

  • is this card supported on dg41rq intel

  • Hey i have a question. I bough a computer from Futureshop and it says that it come with a Ati HD5770. But when i check in my computer the card does not look the same ?

  • @goldatra3 perhaps its not from XFX there are different version with different specs and looks like the sapphire version

  • does radeon card support physx?

  • GANSTER XD

  • Hey i need help!

I have a Acer Aspire M5200 and i wanna change the

graphic card for better perfomance. CPU-Z program sayz Max TDP is 95W

and i have a Acer RS780HVF Motherboard! Let me know!

    Im newb :)

  • @TheMrChriskaar I have an Acer M5201 and I also upgraded my graphics card without upgrading the rest of the system; my cpu is a bottleneck atm : ( I recommend buying a whole new system when upgrading such a things. However, the TDP shows the wattage of that thing (cpu I think? Depends on your tab), but you have to check your Power supply's power and calculate the power needed and stuff :) Google for a psu calculator & you'll find it :)

  • Over here in Hawaii, the XFX radeon 5770 costs 200$...

thats why i buy my shit online

  • eyegasm when hw pulls the 5770 out of the plastic package xD

  • "not like your mom's actually gonna pay any attention to that" LOL xD "no its time for dinner" ROFL XD

  • @ShiroKado lol i heard that and was ganna post the same thing...looks like im not the only 1 that found it funny

  • 6770 or 5770?

  • @Randomstation Walrus! :D

  • @Randomstation 5770, cheaper and u barley notice performance difference if u dont put them head to head

  • u fucking big hairy vagina you said u were gonna compare it to the other two cards u had on there.

  • @BigThangsPoppinMayne Dude! He's offering a FREE service for you and yet you still bitch. Grow up. :S

  • @ZeroHeroVids Well he lied, he made me waste 3:19 minutes of my life. All I was waiting for is to see him compare the cards like he said he would. I own this card I just wanted to see the difference. I just get very anal when people lie.
