  • Mate you need to sneak into a televised race that would be awesome!!!

  • I'm a cyclist and this made me giggle. Funny vid.

  • HAHA, great job~!

  • what a dick hahaha

  • haters gonna hate

  • nice camera work almost made me puke from mation sickness

  • coman polvo,electronico. jaja

  • i do a bit of cycling myself, but this made my day. poor guys aha :)

  • I own mine since Monday and must say that e-bikes keep families together (think different fitness levels)

  • Electric bikes are great if you are old, fat and lazy (but then again, so are car drivers)

  • cool.

  • @Livinggreen100 check my video , 250w electric hub with 48v

    .

    that think just fly's

  • Lets see you catch them on the flats.

  • @bluemystic7502 my 250w hub just fly's with a 48v battery

check my video this guys have no chance against my cheap 250w electric hub not even on top

  • How fast were you going? They looked like they weren't even doing 20MPH...

Or for you metric users: 900 KMPH ;P

  • @OuroborosChoked ummm.... 20 mph = 32.19 km/h. Where are you getting 900? My best guess is that they were doing around 10 mph.

  • @bjokey87 It was a joke (hence the " ;P "), since metric speed measurements tend to be about 1.5x higher than MPH measurements, number-wise.

And if that was a race... at 10 MPH... I'd win that in no time :P

  • @OuroborosChoked O okay ha ha ha, well anyways i still would argue that they are going around 10 mph or so. I mean they could be doing 15 mph but that still isn't that much faster. I would think that they were pacing themselves giving the fact that they were going uphill and it could be early in the race. Also, the ebike probably has a top speed of only 15-20 mph anyways and he is passing them pretty quickly.

  • Cheater! lol

  • I almost threw-up from motion sickness! Thanks for the video?

  • This is a very funny and clever video, stop getting all huffy people!

  • having a motor, of any kind, will not make one fit.

  • @gsmarcano no but it will sure make my 20 mile ride to the store and back a lot better. man that 5% grade by my house is a killer, then add 30lb of food and supplys

  • this is what i love about motor-bicycles, pissing of spandexers

  • ahaha you shoulda petaled and like made yourself look really tired as you passed them! XD

  • can you redo the video without that stupid song

  • This could have been funnier if it was one of those newer 1000w eBikes with a more compact powered hub and smaller sized lithium batteries. With an effort to make it much less obvious that it's an ebike and having a backwards facing cam to see the other cyclist's expressions, there is more potential for lulz.

Nothing against roadies, but many are too up-tight about the sport. Cycling should be fun. Sometimes on my last mile, I'll give 'em a good fast run on my ol' heavy non-electric hybrid.

  • Hilarious!

  • In all honesty I'd need an uncapped motor to keep up with a pro. The 15mph motor cut out on UK models would mean I was on my own trying to race a pro on an unsuitable bike. Until I got to a hill on which a pro could not sustain 15mph. Then when the batteries run out I'd have to lug a heavy bike up a hill against a pro on a light bike.

  • I remember when Fabian Cancellara was accused of this lol

  • I have passed many ebikes on my carbon road bike. Perhaps they were running out of juice :)

  • What's the song called?

  • Comment removed

  • what the video doesn't show is all the cyclists flipping him off as he passes.

  • A great product for losers who are not man enough to pedal and too poor for a motorbike.

  • hah nice one

  • Haha that's pretty awesome, I'd pay to see the faces of those spandex racers being overtaken by a folding bike.

  • song is annoying :/

  • ive been a bike rider all my life, im over 30 but i Really Hate that song i dont know why.. its not a particularly good song... so i didnt hear 1 word you said cause i had the sound down, but it looks like your bike does have power which is good

  • bad song choice. kinda annoying

  • lol I know all these roadies here are getting into a big fuss over this but personally, as a roadie myself I find it kind of amusing

  • good luck beating chuck norris and lance armstrong lol

  • "Na subida cê me aperta, na descida a gente acerta."

in english it would be something like: in the uphill you'll beat me, on the descent we'll get even.

  • Lance was about to pass you.

  • get a life

  • And lo and behold there are comments about the Busettii brand of ebike. This is the fifth video I've found with similar comments and they appear to be just ad drones.

    Bad form.

  • clearly this is no diffrent then a moped, i dont see any comparison to cycling, you do not have to work on this . although it is "speedy " that is not a vaild comparison, these cyclists are clearly not dropping a maxed out sprint, they are already tired and are pacing ....hahahaha, what some people invent

  • clearly this is no diffrent then a moped, i dont see any comparison to cycling, you do not have to work on this . although it is "speedy " that is not a vaild comparison, these cyclists are clearly not dropping a maxed out sprint, they are already tired and are pacing

  • I would of been straight on his back wheel ;-)

  • @orbiplaya

Yep, and probably beaten him in the sprint, I bet it doesn't do 60kph, or at least it doesn't get there as fast as a good cyclist.

  • @orbiplaya

Yep, and probably beaten him in the sprint, I bet it doesn't do 60kph, or at least it doesn't get there as fast as a good cyclist.

  • lol

  • I have a Mini 40 Mile Busettii bike and it runs 50-55 miles on one battery charge. I also tried my friends Vortex Mountain bike by Busettii. It ROCKS ! Can get up to 32 mph top speed, and on one charge that bike set the new record of 86 miles. Hope it becomes a big hit. In California many people like Busettii because they cost around $1700 but can go 50--86 miles on one charge depending on model. Maria in Cali

  • I can just imagine the troll face on you as you pass by them xD

  • Haha, there are some touchy people out there. Valid comments from the "real" cyclists out there and I bet you weren't even wearing lycra. From a person who may have to give up cycling soon because of an injury, I would just like to remind some that electric assist bikes are a great way to get people who wouldn't be able to ride back into biking, this is obviously all tongue in cheek. Surely the more cyclists on the road the more respect and rights we will all get as a political group.

  • @Smurphenstein Yup, you got it! Just a bit of fun. An yes, I've many customer here in NZ who thought they'd have to give up cycling and are now out there every day! And, yes, just because it's electric doesn't mean you don't pedal. You can pedal as hard, or soft, as you like. On my offroad kit I peadal same pressure as without a kit... but just go 2-3 times faster on the hill climbs and 1.5-2 on the flat sections... makes for an amazing ride. And yes, I still come back covered in sweat! :-)

  • @Smurphenstein In what sort of world are cyclists a political group.. Clearly you Sir, are a moron. Big kiss X

  • @deitschman231 Political group/force/lobby group as far as being voters who can influence road safety, e.g, input into the changes in cycle lanes being made safer along Tamaki Drive and possible Harbour Bridge cycle crossing. Why the name calling? As you started it, clearly you sir, are a prick.

  • Comment removed

  • @Smurphenstein hmm more bikes on the road riding in huge packs in 100km/h zones and me heading the other way just about getting taken out by cars overtaking them crossing onto my side of the road, yea sounds like a good idea......why cant people on bikes stick to the 50k zones where its safer?

  • @fatdrood Not everyone rides on the road in huge packs. I didn't mention riding in 100km/h areas and what makes you think I do?

  • @Smurphenstein where did i say that you personally do? everyday i see big groups riding in 100k zones taking up half the road,no safety gear aside from a silly little polystyrene helmet and not even using the cycleway when there is one...

people need to stop putting themselves in harms way

  • @fatdrood Perhaps people in vehicles need to take more care and overtake where it is safe. If a vehicle is on the wrong side of the road overtaking and crosses onto "your" side of the road (by the way you don't own it so it isn't YOUR side of the road) then they are in the wrong. There are inconsiderate cyclists and drivers. Amazing how some drivers with the protection of large vehicles around them feel so threatened by those with the least protection on the road.

  • @Smurphenstein sometimes they dont have a choice when they come around a blind corner its ether hit the bikes or cross onto the wrong side of the road.,i dont even own a car....only thing i have is motorbikes and a mountain bike.

its hard enough as it is avoiding idiot drivers in cars without large groups of pushbikes causing them to swerve in front of me but then nobody cares about that because riding next to your buddy so you can chat is way more important then the lives of others

  • @fatdrood Surely if they are coming around a blind corner and can't slow down for something moving away from them they are going too fast. What if a child were standing on the road or a car had broken down? Totally agree about the large groups though, they can be very aggressive.

  • @Smurphenstein in a 100kmh zone how is a push bike moving away from them? i dont see why people ride in them its just silly puts everyone in danger!

  • @Smurphenstein There's a bike riding lobby group? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. THAT IS THE MOST RIDICULOUS THING I HAVE EVER HEARD!

  • @crankatorium There's a gun owner lobbying group-- that's a bit more ridiculous.

  • @crankatorium I think you need to investigate some things before you ridicule them.

  • @Smurphenstein I HATE YOU BICYCLISTS THAT TAKE UP THE ROAD EVEN THOUGH YOU HAVE YOUR OWN "BICYCLE LANE" DO YOU DO THAT SHIT ON PURPOSE TO HOLD UP TRAFFIC TO LET THE NON HIPPY MOTOR VEHICLES STARE YOUR HOMOSEXUAL ASS? GET OFF THE FUCKING ROAD AND OUT OF MY WAY!

    "POLITICAL GROUP MY ASS. HIPPY.

  • @CockBlockBrischke "You bicyclists that take up the road even though you have your own bicycle lane". Do you personally know me, where I choose to ride? No? If there is a bike lane I use it, I ride alone, practically in the gutter and have never worn lycra in my life. I drive a car most of the time so know what car drivers as well as bicyclists do to annoy others on the road. By the way, there is a key on the left of your keyboard, it is marked "CAPS LOCK". Ask someone what it's for some time.

  • @CockBlockBrischke I agree the law has to change to stop these cyclists putting everyone in danger. its real bad here in nz, the law wont save them when a Mack truck runs them over. im not against cyclists but they behave pretty badly at times pissing everyone off and kinda of enjoying it. as a community they are kinda aggressive in a passive way. their quite strange.

  • @otti7021 You don't need more rules, you need to enforce the ones that you have. Moses gave 10 commandments handed down by God (Jesus summed up in 2). The Pharisees made 613 laws out of it and nobody could follow any of them.

You have bicycling and motorist lasws on the books, enforce them. Any one foolish enough to remove himself from the gene pool by ignoring the laws of gross tonnage isn't a problem any more eh?

  • Wow, you got them for 200m...

I would like to see you beside me after 200km ride on allaround terrain, in fact just bring your grandma wheelchair, same shit anyway.

JFYI I do like electric bikes, but I do not see whats the point of this video, this guys are exercising, if I want to go on the top of a mountain without breaking a sweat I'll take a car.

  • no shit i was on my specialized s-works tarmac road bike and some guy had a normal fold away bike and he went flying past me and i was doing 30mph

  • So, how long does it keep up? I could catch pass those guys that fast for 1 minute, but I'd be pretty tired afterwards.

  • ha ha funny as hell

  • LOL :D

  • That's fun. Not the same activity at all, a motor bike vs a cyclist, but it is good fun. Good on you :)

  • what a funny vid, passing the lycras must pee some off..

pump more v and amps thru, youll be riding circles around them no sweat

  • Listen, I'm running a bikeshop and we sell electric bikes. I just think this video is trying to make fun out of other cyclists. Make a decent video whcih makes fun of the people locked up in their cars during rush hour. These are your potencial customers, not the guy/girl who wants to sweat a little cycling uphill. PD: this first consult is for free!!!

  • @BikeTechBCN Hello BikeTech. Considering the smirks, snears and cold shoulders ebikers often get from roadies, and the negative comments and jokes I myself have experienced I feel we are totally within our moral ebiker rights to give back a little of what we get.

  • @electricbikesnzLTD my dad is now massively into cycling, and has always said that he would never have got to that stage without first having an electric bike (incidentally a whisper 905) to get back into it gently to build up his fitness before going back to conventional bikes - now battery tech's moving quickly I reckon these are a fantastic development in bicycles.

  • @electricbikesnzLTD WAR OF THE BIKES!!!

  • @BikeTechBCN I was part of the support team for an ebiker on that 700km race and there was a lot of two-way banter... but at the end of the race everyone was very supportive of what ebiking could bring even to the roadie world... partners could now ride together, even if one wasn't so fit...

  • @BikeTechBCN ...those of the more senior age range could get back out and go for really big rides again... I design ebikes and am working with wisper on a carbon matrix 700c tourer ebike with a range of 150km+ which even the hardcore roadie will find it hard to smirk at. The more cyclists we get out there the better... be they roadies. ebikers, downhillers... or dare i say it eRoadies! more cyclists mean more noise to make our roads safer for cyclists!!

  • @BikeTechBCN

    ok we fukin know

  • @BikeTechBCN HUH? a tad paranoid isn't it ? how is this video making fun of cyclists? All that is happening is that an electric motor is demonstrating how effectively it enhances the most efficient form of transport in the world. Look on the bright side, as soon as the batteries run out, the fit cyclists can enjoy al laugh and we can all be friends :)

  • @BikeTechBCN That video was funny! A mate of mine who lived up a steep hill, was carrying about 30kgs too much and was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes bought a wisper and he now cycles to and from work and has lost those 30kgs and has his diabetes under control. eBikes are the way of the future.

  • @BikeTechBCN

But your a nob and so are all the Pro-Cyclists....

If most of them could ride without seats they would too....

    Just like you.

  • That's always so funny. Try pedalling backward and see if they figure it out. Just don't stop at the same dinner afteerward.

  • Yeah, stick it to the man, show 'em who's boss.

  • Hi Anthony!

I'm glad to see that our video become a great success!! All the best from Sydney!

New Alpino 906 is really unbeatable!!!

Thanks a lot Wisper, you are doing an amazing work!

  • Against what? This is not cycling. I wonder who's laughing when you run out of power. Good luck!

  • @BikeTechBCN . just a bit of fun! :-)

  • @BikeTechBCN Ebikes ARE bicycles... just with an extra assist offered... I use my offroad mtb ebike for a hardcore workout... 2-3 hours of downhilling AND uphilling!!! I get to ride 3 times the amount of terrain and get a better all round workout... they ain't evil and they ain';t just for nana and grandad! And yes, I'm still laughing...

  • @BikeTechBCN open your eyes please :e) sempre podeu fer una ullada a vimeo . com/9719806

  • You clearly had fun with this :-)

I wonder how many cries of "cheat" you heard on the way past this lot?

    Nice one!

  • lol well they have ebike with the cells in the top tube and hubs so small

  • @jmsinnz I participated on the race with a Wisper 905 Se. The first day, before to start a couple of people say "you're cheating". Later on, they understand that first, ebikes are a mean of transport; second there is no much difference to be pedaling on a motorized 22 kg bike or a 6kg Pinarello racing bike. Yes going up hill I was unbeatable, but to follow them down hill or when flat... to move a legal ebike at 35 or 40 km/h is not funny. At the end they saw it was more or less the same.

  • @jmsinnz It was really an amazing experience where all of us we learn from each other. You can have a look at the following video vimeoDOTcom/9879382

    Electric hugs
