I personally believe that McFadden was one of our best players in recent years (Everton fan btw) and that if he had left Everton sooner and gone to a club like Arsenal or United when he was young he would've been 3-4x the player he was and be considered as one of the greats!

Its tough to explain, players like Faddy clearly make up for a lack of pace with raw ability, I don't think it is pace that lets him down. I think it boils down to the fact he isn't so much of a team player when the going gets tough, Key players at top Prem clubs all seem to be grafters. Its tough to explain, players like Faddy clearly make up for a lack of pace with raw ability, I don't think it is pace that lets him down. I think it boils down to the fact he isn't so much of a team player when the going gets tough, Key players at top Prem clubs all seem to be grafters. Boyd offers nothing, he can't run, he's slow, can't pass, can't link up play, can't hold the ball up.
McFadden is 10x the player Boyd is, McFaddens got technique, ability, skills, a brilliant touch, all he needs to do is be consistant and for Scotland he's been the best thing since Kenny Dalglish.

Still say he's the best player to put on a Scotland jersey since King Kenny. He does things that are just magical and take your breath away, and does it out of nowhere. Keep in mind last year he was blighted with injury, if he can keep himself fit he'll equal the King's goal scoring record.

I wouldn't argue with that, as I adore Faddy and think he's committed to the cause. Although, In mt opinion the most talented player since King Kenny is another number 7, and that's Darren Fletcher.
If we can get a good manager who knows what he's doing, build the team arounf Fletch and Faddy then we can definitely qualify for a tournament.
Unfortunately burley is building the team around chaos.

For Man UTD ive not seen him have alot of bad games but doesnt stand out
for Scotland he is mince how many goals has he scored how many goals has he cost us
he shouldnt be captain, he doesnt know how to lead a team.

@bensmfc Really is that why Alex Ferguson was our boss at Mexico 86?Fletcher usually plays in the holding role for Scotland.This is why he has not scored a lot of goals.And when he is fit,should always be in the team.Nothing to do with who he plays for.Its to do with what he can do.And he will be working with a lot of new EPL players,that he has not played with before.So should be on the same level as him.In some games I have watched,they could not read him.Before he changed the team.SAOR ALBA.

they only won this year because most of Celtics strikers were injured a the beginnin of the season Samaras couldnt be stopped then he got injured now ad rather have william gallas up front
