  • Just a small thing ... this is actually track no 8 on the soundtrack ... i only noticed because i,ve made the album into a playlist ... because this was my favourite film as a kid. im 45 now ... cant thank you enough for uploading this ... have waited years to hear this online :)

  • Um? Where's sound track 8?

  • Very sad we wont hear music like this for movies of all sorts anymore. back then, the music came from emotion that the conductor had. when you hear this, you accurately felt what he was feeling. an thats what made it so great. producers now a days dont do that anymore. we need more music like this around. P.S. This track is what made me watch the hole movie.

  • I adore this song. Nostalgia & pure beauty.

  • Yeah, great composers like John Williams who has done the E.T., Jurassic Park, and so many more movie soundtracks or new composers like Eric Whitacre are still out there!! But Angela Morley was fantastic too :)

  • I don't really understand the point of Violet. I mean, she wasn't in the book and she gets like three lines at the most and then she just...dies. But I really do love all of the music in this movie.

  • @TearsofWolves She was the only girl that came along with them. When she died, it was all boys, so they couldn't reproduce; which was a very important conflict later on.

  • @CandieCane100 There was no point in her being there. In the book, they didn't bring any girls along to begin with, which leaves them with the same problem. Why make a character that wasn't in the book and contributes absolutely nothing to the story? Probably because they just love scarring children for life with images of dead bunnies, but who knows.

  • @TearsofWolves Saying that "they just love scarring children for life with images of dead bunnies" is an exaggeration in my opinion, considering the fact that this movie wasn't *really* made for kids, if it was they would've watered it down like they did with the series. Just because it is a cartoon about bunnies does not mean it is for children. It's a reference to the Holocaust. Besides, they don't show her dead body. They were probably following along with the beginning, since it introduced

  • @CandieCane100 Yeah, it was sort of meant to be an exaggeration. And come on, it has a picture of adorable bunnies on the cover. Covers Always Lie. Also, I don't really think that it was a reference to the Holocaust. Efrafa does resemble a socialistic society, but I don't think it had any ties to the Holocaust itself, you know?

  • @TearsofWolves I didn't think so either once I heard someone say that. But then I rewatched the film and realized that there were a LOT of connections.

  • @TearsofWolves (I ran out of character room) so many predators. The hawk was one of them, but this was the only instance where it was shown.

  • Angela Morley was a truly brilliant composer!

  • Come back Violet!! She ain't comin back.

  • Truly excellent score!!

  • Great book, great movie, great score! Thanks so much for it!

  • Anyone know where I can get a CD copy of this soundtrack?

  • It's just so beautiful and moving music.

Thanks for the posting! : )

  • This is the most moving piece of music in the film, a lovely atmospheric orchestral masterpiece. They simply don't write music like this anymore : (

  • I am sorry, but I don't agree. This is of course a wonderful music, but even today there are great soundtracks to be found. Look at the works of Rachel Portman, Danny Elfman, Jan Kacmarek and some others. Though I know what you mean.

  • @thinkfresh2010 But their scores are nowhere near as moving and (sometimes) terrifying as this.

  • thankyou for this

  • thank you very much :)

  • 100 times thanks to mutantleprechaun!!

    Great music!

  • I agree with you sbbinahee!

When I was a kid I was scared off the rabits, and I didn't had the guts to watch the movie alone. I really really love the music and I'm glad and I wanne thank you to put in online!! Thank you really really much!!! =)

  • I always thought the music from the movie was stunning since I saw it as a kid in the 70's.

Thankfully I have the cd but many without it will appreciate your postings no doubt!

Thanks for sharing this rare stuff with the world!
