This is suh a great scene, there is nothing like this in the new version, its not awful, but is just lacking in beautiful and human touches like this one had, from the music, to the acting, to the feel of the film

The song here is Theology/Civilization on the soundtrack album. One of the best, one of the best. My god is stronger, he is the everlasting sky! Subotai has the mandate of heaven, Conan has only the strength of his sword arm, and his anger. A great scene, presaging the end scene where Conan sits on the steps of Thulsa Doom's temple and wonders what next. In Robert E. Howard's stories he always carried on as a vagrant, a mercenary, an adventurer if you will.

Yeah, this scene is simply beautiful...two warriors talking and eating by the fire, and the part where they run freely across the plains and mountains. There is no such freedom these days.
