  • When I apply BVH files to A3 they do not work, they bring her feet out in front of her and the motion is totally wrong. I can only get MoCaps to work with M3 and Sometimes V4. Are you doing something different to make it work?

  • @Polydynamix

some bvhs work well with Aiko, many dont

if you search youtube for : mcasual animeeple

you will find my videos where i show a method to fix the bvh's

it takes a few minutes, but it works not-too bad for the thousands of free bvhs from the carnegie university

  • when I try to download Aiko 4, it says the destination files are not there, and when I search for them in my computer.. sure enough theyre not there... any help?

  • @Jessi12ocHigh

the installer file for aiko4 for the PC is

12MB in size, is that what you used?

During the installation process they ask

you what is the target application - you can chose daz or poser - but this only works if the selected program actually is installed on your computer

  • @Jessi12ocHigh

also during the installation they ask for a

destination directory, on a standard PC

    installation this means

    c:\program fies\daz\studio\content

  • where'd you get the extra animations i dont think those come with daz....or i havent found them

  • i found them using google

    if you type

    indiandance.bvh

in google, the second result has something like 20 motion files.

    - you can

set the timeline to the frame where you want the animation to begin,

select a character in the scene,

do "file/import/bvh" and select one of the .bvh files you downloaded

  • how do you walk?

  • i downloaded the pacl for Daz that has Aiko and Michael and those characters, but when i hit install, they don't seem to appear inside Daz 3D, how can i get it to work?

  • the big 60 megs pack contains 4 installation files, so you unzip the pack then run each installer - when they ask for the "target application" you select Daz Studio, when they ask for the location where file will be installed, select "daz's known directories",

it should look something like C:\Program Files\DAZ\Studio\content --

the characters should appear in the folders content/figures/daz people and content/figures/daz aiko 3 and content/figures/daz hiro 3

  • if the characters are not visible you may have to go in DazStudio's menu Edit/Preferences/Directories

look carefully, it's easy to miss that point, in this panel you can specify where the daz-content is located, usually it's C:\Program Files\DAZ\Studio\content AND you can specify where the POSER content is located, for the "poser content directories" there's a button to let DazStudio search through your hard disk

  • Ahh i found it, thanks :)

  • can you tell me the link to get the charectors?

  • You can download it off the Daz 3D website, have a look.

  • Nice job.

  • How did you convert your animation to a video format from Daz?

  • Daz can render movies - it's set in the Render/Settings menu - the result is an AVI file which youtube accepts - moviemaker can also open this, so you could edit it, add a soundtrack and save it as a WMV which youtube also accepts - a good free codec to install is divx from divx d o t com - when daz finishes rendering it asks for a choice of codec, divx produces small but high quality images , i set its bitrate to 2000kbps

  • For everybody: The sond is: "Jem - Come on Closer"

    nice vid btw :)

  • cool

    5 stars

  • the theif was more like gollum XD

  • dance 2 was funny :) and spinkick..was awsome man and also break dance..everything was soo cool!!! but where can i get free 3d model cr2 & obj....

  • the character in this video is Aiko 3 LE, she's free - there's also victoria3, michael3 anf Hiro, they were made for daz studio ( free at daz3d dot com) but they should work with poser - go at [ download dot com ] and search for the word [ daz3d ] you'll find a 60 megs 4-characters pack named "Poser DAZStudio 3D Models Pack 1" they're free so they are "light" versions with less features

  • tnx, ty very much i have searcing for this 4 days tnx a lote man!! :D

  • tnx, ty very much i have searcing for this 4 days tnx a lote man!! :D

  • Allright, finally someone has put together something longer than 30 sec.Good job and i know better things are coming.I'll be watching.

  • thanks for subscribing :)

check in my profile there's tons of animations :)

i'll post a new one very soon :)

  • JEM!!

  • it look like a retard on thief!

  • I finally finished my Poser 3D animation. Take a look and let me know what you think. Just click my name and look for Mike Jones Drop & Give Me 50. great work this animation helped inspire me when making my own. Thanks

  • lolz!! In the Thief part she looked like a hunchback!! But, that's still totally cool!!

  • freaky and pretty funny :D

  • good animation, and very cool movement on "sexy", but when you got to see that face... is scary, very scary.

  • Yeah, Aiko plain and simple, Normally you would want to put a little work in to the face. Then again its clear that Aiko is showing off her ability to move more then her ability to look beautiful.

  • That is almost impossable to make animation in daz i have 2 vids from it but the animmation render talks like 300000 years!!! i made a 1 sec animation of aiko as a cow girl and it had taken 1H and 30 Something mins!!!!!!! id rather use poser. But are you useing mimic?

  • many of the renders i do with the hardware/openGL renderer because the software/3delight renderer is so much slower - i used mimic for "lip sync" in videos like "kate and paul in the bobverse" and the green cat video for St-Patrick day

  • Freakin awesome i knew daz models were capable of articulated motion but didnt realize how smooth it could be thanks for sharing

  • Thanks for all, hope i could see another works, can you tell me what music you used for your animation?

    yours...nahnou

  • welcome

the music is : Jem - Come On Closer

  • Hi mcasual, very cool animations and great music, i found your bvh files very performant can you show me where did you find these files?...thanks

  • thanks :)

type 022Lab4bBestOf in Google and you'll find them

( i found them using google too )

you can find others by searching in google for words like

    dance.bvh walk.bvh dance2.bvh

  • This is really great!

I play with daz too, and i know that making such an animated sequence is very hard work.

It must have taken you many hours to make this movie.

  • thanks, it's mostly setup work in this case, i "imported" bvh motion files, there a few free BVH files like that on the net

  • Where can i download these files? please help

  • thanks :)

  • How do You get them to move in daz?

  • I always liked the Aiko and Hiro models. I guess thats only matter of time before they launch and Aiko 4 model, specially if everything works fine with Vicky 4...

  • Can someone please help me. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but when I import my BVH files it says, 'failed to import' and then my character looks mangled. I have been working on some cool stuff, but need to add motion to it! PLEASE HELP!

  • for my animation i think most bvh files came from bvhfiles dot com and i applied them the "aiko base" in Daz Studio - are you using Daz or Poser? before importing the motion file, i select the hip of AIko, because that the "root" of her skeleton. Maybe your character's skeleton differs too much from the skeleton that was used in the motion capture session.

  • I use Daz. I just select the entire character, not their hips or anything like that. I will try selecting hips though...thanks! Anyone else have other suggestions? Do I need to rename the BVH file? Could I have it in the wrong folder?

  • OMG thats so sick!! im so stoked that aiko is free..for now!! but i cant wait to learn and alll this stuff how cool!! well tell me wen u make anything neww!!!

  • Nice-- where are the mocaps from? How come they look smooth when you do them but look insane when I do them?

  • google "bvh" and "mocap"

in some cases the skeleton that was used for the capture and Aiko's skeleton differ so much that the results are disastrous. but i was lucky i found good ones :)

  • Love it lol x x x

  • qnd maybe i can turn her into a uh Gelfling who knows :) but i was thinking about something simpler with dark crystals and that triangle opening in the crystal chamber, and kight and smoke effects

  • i should proof read my posts, they're horrible
