I couldn't agree more. The Democrats vs. Republicans is a tremendous waste of time, money and resources. They've turned it into a popularity contest, arguing *who* is going to do a better job running the country. As far as I'm concerned, they're all a bunch of self-centered pricks, that don't give a shit about this country or the people. With few exceptions, their main goal is to get as rich as they can, and try making a legacy for themselves.
hey i got a question. i've watched some of your vids a long time ago. you're really changing. it's great to be gay, but I sometimes get the feeling that you're talking and acting to fit the role. because you didn't talk like this before.. you really don't need to fit that "effeminate wise gay guy" stereotype.. that is, if you aren't like that naturally. okay i mind my own business now!
The common good for people? Man, that's so 60's. Won't be seeing that again.
The wealthy & powerful Christian-based/funded far-right fascists have a tight grip on every facet of the US today and will never let go. And those who may not really be part of the madness must publicly pretend to be one of them and act on their behalf if given the opportunity, or else have their name and character systematically ruined and be thrown by the wayside.
I understand where you are coming from, and the same frustration overwhelms me as well. However, the reason why we have the left and right wings and democrats and republicans are because people have opposing and different views on how to bring about positive utility for the societal welfare. For example, how to best beat poverty: through the gov't aid or free enterprise.
Yes, at times, people are less than intelligent or so deeply involved in politics that they forget the reason why they were so passionate and end up replacing it with party alligence, but I don't think anyone can claim that people just pick their parties to start frictions.
Political parties serve extremely important functions in our government.. without them, we wouldn't have a very wide range of choices.. Anyway, I totally agree with you that we can make our own choices.. i consider myself a democrat but i agree with republicans on certain issues.. the problem with the republicans is that they got the crazy ass Christian conservatives on their side
The partisan battle is not real. It's elites trying to make you think it's real so the real stuff (for example, stuff Mike Gravel is talking about-- Liebermann 2 Resolution (Iran) doesn't get talked about. The partisan battle is diversionary mind candy.
if he's on the ballot in your state please still vote for dk we're voting for the issues & beliefs in the primary, lets send a message to washington saying, this is what we want, we're still voting for dennis, plus we still need to campaign for his house seat, thats vital!!

I agree with the need to work together, but personally, clearly one party stands for many of the values I hold dear. Therefore, I feel it necessary to support that party, the Democratic Party. While there are a few Republicans whom I respect, I cannot and will not respect their party. I am less interested in working with them, than running them out of town... sorry.
if he's still on your ballot vote for kucinich we're still voting for him here in nyc and still campigning and raising funds for his congressional seat dont let them win

I think that people that think it's wrong to be gay are racists.

Proper term is bigots, but yeah :]
This really has nothing to do with me being gay. I'm not thinking about it 24/7 (believe it or not).

I, uh, don't see that but 1) it's winter and 2) I have a cold.
