  • @GreenDayClass2013 A better system would be to have an implant in the puck that sends a signal to a responder in the posts, but then you have the problem of the implanted pucks going into the crowd, losing the league lots of money each time. That was why they ended the stupid FoxTrax glowpuck system in the '90s, because the pucks were too expensive to waste.

  • That's a fucking joke. The NHL is turning into shit because of the officiating.

  • YOU CAN see it. Little black disc.....it is not what you dont want to see-,..it's there-,...open your eyes...3:27-3:28. We are chilled.

  • "Nashville won 3-2"

    "Rick Nash scored two goals?!"

  • At around 3:24-3:26. For a split second you'll SEE the puck go from inside the net, under the goalies pad.

By common sense it was in, and there's even a camera view of the puck BEHIND the line being pushed forward under the pad.. It's a split second view, but with their cameras and ability to slow it down. That should have been clear to the fags in Toronto.

  • Are you kidding me? Open your eyes NHL

  • Hes trying the Bieber hair flip.

  • Didnt their used to be cameras in the net?

  • @Mytrollacount1 not all tv broadcasts have them, generally only the nationally televised games, or big market teams

  • NHL refs= fucking idiots.

  • you blind retards clearly can't see, because I see the puck not only go over the line, but ripple the mesh from within. on top of that, you see the goaltender (helped by his defender) pull the puck out and hide it under his pad. Fucking bullshit, I'm a Blue Jackets fan all the way, and this is a travesty.

  • @SolSkill I have no preference to eaither, and here's what I see: I see a goal attempt, BUT, I never see the puck cross the line, nor do I see it in there. I see The player and goalie doing what LOOKS like them taking a puck out of the net, but hey, you CANNOT, AT ANY POINT, SEE THE PUCK, and if you can't see the puck cross the line or be in the net, then it's no goal. So? Was the review correct? Yes.

  • No one gives a shit about those two teams anyways...

  • @Hossified you got ur rules right and it is unfortunate that logic cant be used in these types of situations, but a while back same thing happened with luongo where the puck was in his pads (the pad was past the goal line) and there was no visibility of the puck at all, but the goal was allowed... so in actuality, toronto, ur fucking up!

  • omg 3:03 looks like tim thomas

  • That kid whips his hair back n forth!

  • If anyone thinks that the ref test is an easy one, why arnt you doing the NHL then... These refs are the top of the top... And as an official... I know shit can happen and you can make the wrong call on the ice, this is the war rooms fault in Toronto... Clearly it was in and they could have overturned the officials mistake....

  • now columbus knows how the flames fans felt in the 04 finals... both of them were goals

  • lol....refs at their best! .....idiots, I guess that ref test is easy...

  • Rule dictates if you cant clearly see the puck cross the line then the rule on the ice stands There is no angle that shows the puck over the goal line. Its unfortunate logic cant be used but those are the rules. Chill out people

  • @Hossified

Yeah I know what you mean. A lot of time time that rule makes sense, it's like you're innocent until proven gulty type of thing. but then you get these giant fuck ups too. But sometime mentioned something really important. They did used to have camera INSIDE of the nets, that would have really helped in this situation.

  • @Hossified

Also they could add laser beam that goes from one end of the net to the other, then if the puck crosses that line, the beam is interrupted and we know no doubt that the puck went in. Thumbs up to petition this idea to the NHL.

  • @Hossified Here is my argument on this, though. You can see the player pulling the puck out of the net. If he is pulling it OUT of the net, it MUST have gone IN. A 3 year old could figure that out. The other issue is that the referee who made the initial call was in no position to make such a call since he was on the opposite side of the net where the shot took place. It's a case of using common sense, it really is not that hard.

  • I'm not a fan of either teams so I have no preference, that was for sure a goal!

  • i don't hate either of these teams, but i'm no fan of either team. being one of the many neutral people who saw that, i can easily say that it was clearly a goal

  • This was probably the only VERY bad mess up by the officials and Toronto, those camera angles were pretty ridiculous and as you can tell by the amount of time it took to review it they were trying quite hard to come up with a fair and just decision regarding the issue. Not saying it was a good call or anything but just give them a break, it was either goal or no goal. Chill

  • the war room in toronto has been an absolute joke the last 2 seasons

  • Common sense should dictate that that the puck was in the net! It took the NHL off-ice review officials in Toronto 9 minutes to make a ridiculous decision like that? The rule, as currently written, has to be changed. This should have been a no-brainer but instead its an embarrassment for the NHL.

  • they should make that dressing at the bottom of the net transparent... that probably would have allowed them to make the right call.

  • LOL the commentator sound so pissed lol

  • Reminds me of Calgary's Stanley Cup run in '04

  • @stevenwg19 dude exactly what i just commented. this one was a little more obvious though.

  • I was there. After they made the call stand I was praying they'd drop the puck as quickly as possible and told my friend, "finally we get a bounce. That was in."

  • Apparently the NHL can't use deductive reasoning... because you can definitively see that the puck is not touching the goal line and is not outside of the net. YET STILL just because you can't physically see the puck crossing the line, they say it's no goal. If the puck isn't in the net, NHL, then where the hell is it?

  • those are horrible angles to look at it from.

  • Haha I like the troll in the bottom right... Jokeeees

  • wtf is wrong with the kid in the stands in the bottom right corner from 0:24-0:54

  • That blows my fucking mind

  • you people are idiots. rinne was no pushed into the goal by a blue jackets stick! if you look at 1:01 of the video you can clearly see wilson (#33) stick flexing meaning he is pushing against the leg pad. and also if you look VERY VERY closely at 1:03 there is a little black stuck in the net then at 1:04 you can see wilsons stick going back in that spot and that black spot turn to white and the puck come out. but this is no surprise the war room hates columbus. happens everytime.

  • still baffled as can be by this... absolutely incredible

  • Common sense says it's obviously in, however since the call on the ice was no-goal and there was no conclusive evidence, then the call on the ice should stand. Although, I think the ref did a horrible job calling it off from where he was, he should be right behind the net like most refs do on such close plays.

  • They got robbed of a goal on live TV. Don't take a genius to see the puck is in the net... whatsup with the world these days?

  • Dam fucken low resolution iPhone 3G screen. Can see shit even in 480P. Now I have to go watch on my computer then I'll comment again.

  • some serious jobination here...

  • This is gonna sound like sour grapes but as a Jackets fan we have seen this over and over. Almost EVERY time there is a review in Toronto on a disputed goal we get hosed. Now this. All I have to say is, if this point lost in the standings costs us a playoff series I'm done with the NHL until they find a fair way to judge these things. As long as "unknown" people in Toronto are making the calls, it just looks fixed when shit like this happens.

  • its time to apply for adsense! this clip was on Yahoo! :D

  • That was a goal. No question about it. I don't get where people say that there were too many Jackets on the ice. @akinma, each team is allowed 6 players on the ice.

  • @erikshock10 5 players, 1 goalie. Not 6 players ;)

  • @Fraze17, a goalie counts as a player. Plus, a team can choose to pull their goalie to add a sixth skater. Though, I still don't see the too many men on the ice. Somone please show me where the infraction occurred.

  • @erikshock10 Trying to be funny? Only 5 fieldmen + goalie. CBJ seems to have 6 fieldmen on ice during the goal.

  • @akinma ...and a goalie.

  • have to look at the respect factor too... think this would happen to the red wings in the playoffs? don't think so.

  • if your team lost because of this complete lack of common sense and judgement, and you just shrugged your shoulders, then you are not a fan and nor do you care about fair calls.

  • if they aren't gonna do proper camera angles and enforce the rules properly, then F using cameras and just let the refs blow calls all the time.

  • typical nhl bullsh!t... robbed.

  • Still amazed that people can sit there and say this should have counted. I agree that a logical person can say just by using some common sense that the puck at some point was in the net. NHL rules state that there has to be 100% conclusive view of the puck across the blue line with white ice between puck and goal line. The ref was in bad position and had to call what he saw. Someone please show me a clear shot of the puck in the net. Rules sucks but it is the rule. We need some RFI tech.

  • Where was the camera angle from inside the net?!?

  • @roboshuffle It was a FS game they usually don't put cameras in the nets. At least not for the nontraditional teams.

  • You can't technically see it inside the goal, since it was covered by the goal post/rinnes glove/the guys stick, even though everyone can logically assume that it was inside for more than a moment and pushed out. And since the ref happened to wave it off on ice, they can't change it in Toronto.

  • HE SCORES !!!!

  • Goal

  • HOW COULD THEY ACTUALLY LOOK AT THIS AGAIN AND AGAIN AND STILL CALL IT NO GOAL!!!!!!!!

    OUTRAGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • shit happens...but it was a goal...

  • no goal, too many players on ice on cbj.

  • Seems like a goal, but seems like CBJ also had 6 players on ice.

  • Comment removed

  • wow thats some bullshit

  • to beat a dead horse:

-you can see the puck in the goal during the overhead view.

-you can see rinne swipe the puck out of the goal

-you can see the line where the puck should be if it hadn't crossed

-matt calvert was the third jacket to follow up on that puck and when he did there was NOTHING stopping him from knocking it in.

I'm laying this trivia to rest because I don't understand and nothing can be done about it.
