Now I always thought the album version of Spooky was complete poo but this mix is top! It's made me discover a song I always skipped because I thought I hated it!
sorry.never got them.always thought the 80's was a wasteland of music, particularly the brit electronic stuff.went nowhere.it's almost like disco in its irrevelance.
@oleole52 "always thought the 80's was a wasteland of music" OMG! I never thought I would ever hear anyone say that!! The late 70's/80's were the best time for music ever.
hello..richard heslop the director here...i not sure about this video now, seemed like a good idea at the time..its got me( short blond haired bloke ) my girlfriend at the time tamzin haughton and tim burke in it,we shot it in my kitchen in hammersmith london against a black backdrop and i took my 16mm bolex camera to bali on a holiday for the other stuff,.it was based on a short film id done which was much darker but it was fun to do, oh well thank you new order for the gig happy days
I am a huge fan of New Order but man this song sucked, I think it was their worst song, it was like they weren't even trying at all. It was just a filler song on their album. It the most horroble crap I've ever had insult my ears.
Couldn't agrree more; I can deal with this tune, but they are so going trhough the motions. Its modern-day equivalent is, I think, "Guilt Is A Useless Emotion".
It should be compulsary for any video that the band hardly appeaers in it and you actually have a creative idea. It just makes for such better videos.

@richardheslop They must have rated you to use you, as you know its the whole package with them (cover, artwork, video), not just the song.
So where you given a brief, or is this straight out of your box (sorry, couldn't resist)?

Love it love it love it. woooo. Nothing like New Order. Grettings from Puerto Rico.

'Spooky' in it's original version was the first NO single that wasn't fit for purpose. London were heavily milking an already patchy album.

@djh29971 Still better than "Ruined In A Day" I think... :)

Clearly, they've been using illegal street drugs and the effect isn't good :) lol.

@drogbatootoo I so love remixes, but this is at its best as original...

i've always prefered this remix. I like what fluke did with Spooky on all their new order remixes. Awful video though.

crap remix, original is far better, although
more moody.

I really don't like this remix.
