i put regulary R888 for trackdays on my Clio V6 like that on the vid. And he make a lot of fun with and is very quick on cornering.

They are hot and they have hatches, but they are not hot hatchbacks. A hot hatch should combine performance with practicality and these two don't. As some engineering pieces, they are fabulous,they are fast, flamboyant and mad. but they fail as everyday cars. And that's the point of a hot hatch: an everyday car that has a subtle evil side. I would take the standard Megane R26 with the Cup chassis, if I had to choose a hot Renault. If not, I would buy a Focus ST ( only an opinion )

@HENRYHOBBS1 yes, the R26 has the Cup as standard, my bad. I was confusing it with the Renaultsport 225. It's not soft, trust me. Maybe it's not as stiff as a Renault, but it is enough. Don't get me wrong, I love the Megane R26.R., but it doesen't do all the right things at all the right times. That's what would keep me away from buying one, the fact that you can't use it as an everyday car. But do I want to drive it ocasionally? YES, SIR !

it says on the box 250 hp.. but you get 275 on dyno..

and it just looks a whole lot better.. just more grown-up...

I'd take the Clio V6 at 8/10s any day. The R26 doesn't have any of the specialness of the V6. Not that I wouldn't want to drive the thing.

As much as I have (A LOT OF) respects towards the incredible R26.R, I can't even hesitate. In my case, it will be without a doubt the outstanding and spectacular Clio V6 (preferably the 1st Generation). The clio V6 looks like a real prototype or concept car that was produced for the masses (in very low numbers, of course).

But at the end, both are real beasts.

Who cares who developed it or it's 0-60 times? V6 owners should just keep their mouths shut when it comes to performance and stick to the tired rhetoric that they bought it for looks instead of quoting 0-60 times that most people who know how to remove the rear seats can achieve in near bog standard 172's or even 15+ year old Mk1's. V6 is an interesting car, a performance car however it most certainly is not and will never be.

Although i do plan on buying a v6 this yr. it IS a hell ofa performance car, its just, for the money, and for the commitment, you could find alot faster both in a straight line and rounda corner, for a lot less. It true that you buy it for its looks, road prescence and sound though. take a golf r32, ridiculously quick, wud paste the v6 clio -but when you drive down the road, you might aswell be driving a diesel for all the looks you get. depends what you want!
