  • So this is the scene where Memories was supposed to be played. I like Memories though I didn't play the game on PSX... Why didn't they put it in the WotL ? =(

  • I prefer the remake. Its more in-depth, love the cutscenes, and they speak old english. I personally think they'd be speaking old english in that era of Ivalice's history. God, I wish this was an anime.

  • Sorry but, while the animation is very pretty, I can't stand the lame ass accents and Ye Olde English that they are spouting. I have to say I prefer the original.

  • @MisterEviscerator I appreciate the Old English style, myself. I find it very difficult to play the original version because of the massive amount of typos that actually do interfere, at least to me, with the meaning that they are trying to evoke.

  • @wee187 The Ye Olde English would be more tolerable if it were used better; there are several scenes weakened by the fact that the writers can't write a decent-sounding outburst of rage in the style they're writing in. (protip: when you have a character yell at another in anger, /don't make it a question/, and especially don't make it overwrought and unrealistic.)

  • @InnocentGuillotine you nostalgia fags can't even come up with a decent criticism anymore. rofl@protip

Your accent's slipping there, Delita :P

  • @camrocg Delita's voice actor tended to slip in and out of the accent, mostly in scenes that require more emotional backing. Not exactly professional but it's excusable since the voice acting itself is very good.

  • Why did they change some of the character's names in this version, like Algus to Argath and Teta to Tietra?

  • Is this song on the OST? Because I need it. Like, now.

  • I just got to this part today. ...In the ps1 version.... which I'm playing on my psp... But I kinda like the ps1 version better, haha. No idea why, even though it is pretty here. :)

  • Wow, they do NOT sound sixteen.

  • ahh.. so Faldio voiced Delita in FFTactics TWotL. Robin Atkin Downes = cool :-)

  • They changed Teta's name to Tietra... Which is cool, 'cause Teta in portuguese means Tit. Yeah, Tit, that thing that cows have.

  • Delitas voice actor... one of the best actors ever existed. WHY THE FUCK WORLD DOENST KNOW him.

  • You mean movie? Why not, I was wondering if this story could become widely known in the cinema world.

  • This scene from PS1 to animate in PSP and i hope to see this scene once again in Live Action Movie.

  • I'm actually re-playing the original on the PSX. But I want to quit that, buy a PSP and War of the Lions, and just play that instead.

  • @Ashin809 I have this title. A Masterpiece from the moment i saw this scene in the japanese trailer. A thought ran across my mind, just how well will this sell? And it did extremely well even if the battles were slowed down because of the way the disc was read and ruined sound quality here and there it was great just even hearing correct pronounciations of the character's names like "Ram-za" "De-Lee-ta" "Dy-se-darg" All of which i never knew before

  • Ramza's theme... beautiful!

  • do this game have the job experienc e glitch?

  • Loved the style of the cutscenes in WotL

  • i just cant believe ramza's voiceover is an old black man..i was stunned looking at his face at wikipedia. .search phil lamarr

  • Comment removed

  • i want to learn ramza's theme on the piano

  • Very powerful scene, a worthy replacement of the simple text cutscene.

  • why is it tietra in this game, and teta in the originla?

  • @rustypancakes I think the game was badly translated back then and now her name is what her name was supposed to be

  • @rustypancakes teta in spanish means tit

  • I miss Balbanes Beoulve, even though I didn't know much of him. All I know is that he was noble like Ramza and had great friendship with T.G. Cid :D

  • They added some nice animated sequences and some extra stuff, but the actual game runs inferior to the ps1 version. It's a shame it has so much slowdown during summons and spell effects. :(

  • Delita isnt nobility. Only Ramza is. But he lived close enough to them that he is almost treated like a son by Ramza's father. At the same time, this gives him ideas. He begins to think that he deserves it and that he should have it. And with the death of Tietra that pretty much confirms his attitude.

  • What the heck the people have oversize hands. And they talk like shakespear.

  • This scene's music is perfect. I have been trying in vain to find the piano version used here

  • @twobitmage try search for this: Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions- New Song (Hero's Theme Piano). It is the theme that you want. I dont know why but i cant paste the link here

  • I miss the earsplitting noise those things used to make.

  • Delita's VA also voices Luxord in the KH series.

But Delita's voice in this is simply the best voice acting that I have heard in any game...

  • Any chance that they make this game with this graphics on PS3?

  • Delita has an amazing voice~♥♥

  • Can't get over how pretty this looks.

  • One of the best scenes in the game. There's a lot of premonition and feeling here.

  • @ sausageman666

I know how u feel i threw my psp at a door and now its broken too :/ GOOD THING I HAVE AN IPHONE AND ITS COMING OUT FOR IT SOON :D

  • I really regret not being able to finish this fking epic game cuz my psp broke. Now with the psp go you cant even play this game cuz its only on umd QQ

  • This world does not reward endeavor, it is his patron and his troupe who are receipt.

  • Argath = '??? o.O (in the ps1) Algus i'm guessing

  • so many times I've played this game and I still can't make that damn whistle with a blade of grass ¬¬*

  • thanks for uploading , great scene , remember when i was like 10 or so , and watched this on ps1 , i didnt know that you could do a wisthle out of grass/leaves , ever since i relate to this

  • .......how come ramza got a cape in the graphic but not in the gameplay...it could make him look better D:

  • @darklife8 In gameplay, it'd cause problems for his sprite, what with the little amount of frames it has. However, in the cutscene he has one because their models are based on their official artworks for the game.

  • @zaurask

    Capes aren't exactly practical, either.

  • @SirFuzzi Don't exactly think you should wear them in battle. They could grab you by the cape. XD

  • @SirFuzzi In wind like that though a cape will keep you a bit warmer, especially when you're wearing all that armor that's designed around keeping you protected... not necessarily around keeping you warm.

  • I loved the original game and they did a good job with remaking it. Though in the original Delita says "Remember when father taught us to play the reed flute?" I wonder why they changed it to a blade of grass?

  • @bahamut99 might be because it sounds alot better

  • haha glad you enjoyed the response. man i wrote that a long ass time ago, haha was pretty funny.

  • the war for ramzas sister.

  • I really just don't like Ramza's voice in these cutscenes, always felt he had a more masculine voice, an actual guy voice lol that was stern similar to what Zalbaag and Dycedarg would have, but smoother.

  • @Yaguermeister Actually they deepen his voice right after the time year skip and he sounds more masculine. Though not as much as Delita's voice.

  • I haven't played this on PS1 before, but it's actually my favorite PSP game now. Love everything about this game, a true classic & I wish there'd be more sequels to this game :)

  • i love this cutscenes,

they should make a game with this graphics in the gameplay, they're really beautifull

  • i have been lied to lol those mistranslated names are stuck in my head as the real ones oh well no changing it now.

  • Playstation was better. Now everyone thinks it's all about graphics and shit. I mean, I know it's the same gameplay and everything but I just like the old graphics better.

  • @BigBen9719 By "shit" I assume you mean story? I do agree with you however. I find it disgusting when they properly translate a game like they did with this one. I mean, actually having the characters speak sensibly? It is truly an abhorrent crime.

  • @BigBen9719 They are almost exactly the same. I mean seriously, they threw in a few wonderfully animated scenes that were cell shaded with voices and you are mad because of this? All War of the Lions did was improve upon the original. If it was really seeking to SHOW OFF DA GRAFFICS then they would of used the Crisis Core engine. I mean seriously

  • I had always liked this scene from the PS1

  • My favorite part in this game is how Delita becomes the number one ranked hitman in the world.

  • ug, they changed some of the character names. i just got done playing that scene on the original when i found out this one even exsited. "teta" is his sister and "algus" gave him crap

  • i stand corrected, didnt relieze they were miss translated. still use to the psx version though, so that one is stuck in my mind. i may never think of the "real names" and there real names. then again, i finnaly thought of areith as her name from FFVII

  • The last few moments of this scene are really heartwarming.

  • @xsilverspringx Its the music

  • this is the best game i have ever played

  • Animated cutscenes, voice acting, and a total lack of Engrish make this about 1,000 times better than the original cutscene. I remember just laughing every time this scene came up in the psx version because the "reed flutes" made such a crappy little sound effect.

  • first time i played this through on the PSP i was kinda hoping to hear that shitty BREEEEEEEEEEEE sound effect just for the sake of nostaliga

  • is the blonde a guy or a gal?

  • Ramza Beoulve and he's a guy.

  • Interesting

  • Um,

Doesn't Ramza or Delita say, "Where have we gone astray?"

  • in the original version I think they do.

  • Delitas sisters name isn't Teitra, It's Teta. I can see why they change it though.

  • HOLY SHIT!!! I remember this scene from PS1 Tactics ... I'm literally blown away. The voice actng is SUPERB. The dialogue is SUPERB. That's a great representation of Ramza and Delita !!!

  • its not that bad gezz

  • @MikeChua *Bobs head up and down*

    STOP USING 'LITERALLY' INCORRECTLY!

  • This is the only cutscene I've seen ,after just searching it from Youtube, of the PSP version of this game which I don't have.

The drawings are AMAZING. Although, I did love the sprites and they had their own quirks and charms too...full animation like this is pretty bad ass with that style of drawings...although the voice acting is a little too over done and overly dramatic.

  • great cinematography! especially for a video game fmv

  • can anyone help me in Midnights Deep if so please Pm me

  • Can some1 tell me where to find this piano track?

  • Try Blue Laguna or Final Fantasy Extreme

  • El mejor juego de rpg que eh jugado!! le tengo que informar al chuy( theodore blearsh) de estos videos!!

  • Best RPG game i had played. Best scene i remmember from ps1.

Can pull a Tear of my eyes, don't know why, if it isnt a sad situation...

  • And, the song... It's amazing. Think the best storyline of all games that i had played... And i lov very much Zelda OoT and specially MM...

  • It's not an RPG. It's a SRPG.

  • Delita and Ramza should hook up. They'd make a hot couple. If only the circumstances weren't so tragic, perhaps their love could bloom.

  • ...I hope to God that was sarcasim...

  • It sure wasn't. But your heterocentrism is noted. Thanks!

  • gross

  • I loled hard. I too, believe ramza and delita should be allowed to abandon their adventure, and embark on a new, more passion filled endeavour, in each other's arms.

  • rofl.

  • Oh....really....?

  • Sorry for the way way late response, but that was the funniest post I have ever read. xD

  • tetra?TETRA?

why do they change all these names?

    the name was teta!

    sigh...

o, i hear algus comes back as a zombie in this game? is that true?

  • Yes, the original name is Tietra.

"Teta" was a mistranslation on the US version.

They didn't change the names, they corrected those mistakes from PSX.

  • ah man, i was so used to calling her teta,

    ah well...

    thnks

  • Yeah, I got used to the US translation, too. But they were incorect in 99%. The same goes to "Aeris" from FF7 which should have been "AeriTH" just like "SephiroTH" (Both names end with same character). Square was hiring very lazy translators. But fortunately they're now hiring better ones ;)

  • yes, and unfortunatly theyre making shitty games, the havent made a good game since ff9 (excluding kingdom hearts i guess)...

  • To each his own. FF9 was the worse one, and FF12 is the best.

  • so you enjoyed ff12 more..fine, dosent make it better in any way, the art work/music/story in ff9 was far more creative and heartfilled and soulfull then it was in ff12, enix blows now....fact

  • bleh, I....really didn't like 9....at all, I didnt like the characters or story for 12, the only thing it had going for it was the battle system. The licensing grid was a joke too.

  • thank you

  • I remebered very well this scene...so dramatic.

Im glad to see this cut-scene.

  • This makes it twelve times more depressing when Tietra dies. He was striving so hard to save her.

  • i love this scene. FFT is really great

  • You like that in-game SFX lag, don'cha?

  • Great scene.

  • i liked the original way better no replacement for it. but i do like the fact i get to hear what ramza and delita sounded like, very realistic.

  • Japanese version didn't have voices, so technically, you DIDN'T. Besides, English voices =/= true canon.

  • I'm really wished that the PSP version did have Japanese voice acting. I wonder what would Ramza and the others sounded like in Japanese.

  • Thats on all psps

  • so how can it be "even more epic" ?

  • Its only on psp idiot

  • truly a great scene

  • It was more funny in the original because Ramza's grass instrument drowns out everyone's else's.

  • This is so poetic. Like Shakespeare himself writing this....ownage.

  • This deserves a best video in a video game award. XD

  • The music brings tears to my eyes...

  • This scene should have won some kind of video game Award. Seriously.

  • Tietra, good thing they changed it, the old name, Teta, meanz tit here in brazil XD

I see they did a better job with tranzlation thiz time.

Awesome game, another reason for me to buy a PSP

  • Best game Ever.

  • This has always been one of my favorite scenes from Tactics, its nice to see it remade!

XD Though I think the voice acting is corny I find it cute, I like listening to them finally, I can think of them having any other voices. Thanks for the upload.

  • a beautiful scene from a great game...

    5 stars

  • One of the legendary moments of FFT

  • This scene is one of my favorite moments in the first game.

It never ceases to tear me up...the music, the gestures, the dialogue, and now the voices. You can't help but be moved.

  • Is all voice acting is cheesy now? I guess we all lost our abilities suspend our disbelief. Just listen to a Shakespeare monologue.

  • i think they did a pretty good job on this, cmon!

  • Such amazing voice acting, purely magical

  • can someone help me?

    watz this game aout ima little confuzzled ^.^;

  • -1 year later-

Everyone is still laughing at you.

  • Wasn't Delita's sister name Teta?

  • Yes.

But there's been multiple changes to things, such as now the "Northern Sky".

  • Hokuten translates into Northern Sky, I believe.

  • Yea, that's right. It's Northern Sky.

    ほくてん (hiragana) = hokuten

    北天 (kanji) = hoku ten

  • i wanna kiss whoever made that voice action

  • Are these available for download somewhere?

  • sad story no room for romance since everyone wanna kill eachother T.T best game of its time

  • The best game, even now. Not just its time. Square Soft mastered the Tactics gameplay, which other games couldn't mimic.

And duplication of it didn't work either, advance was nothing compared to this.

The game is too pure of love, tragedy, and betrayal. Nothing compares.

  • </3

    fav scene ..

this game has amazing music, end of story.

  • A beautiful video.

    It's a great game.

  • I love this scene!

  • omgomg THANK YOU SO MUCH!
