@07liberian You are right ( i didnt see your video yet) I had an Nokia n70, one of the first which record videos in mp4, and the quality is still awesome. I didnt say the camera was bad, i know nokia has one of the best camera in phone market.

What i say, is that This specific video, has much better quality than the videos uploaded by people who has a n8, the videos uploaded are great, though. but this video is much better. A little dissapointing

@Rydn you also have to realize they have the n8 hooked up to a rig. you'll get much smoother, professional looking shots than free hand shooting. im sure if someone with a n8 wanted to make a video as good as this they could. you could duplicate something of this quality with perfect lighting condition, proper video rig, and someone who knows how to shoot video

@valentinomilikic - No, carl zeiss has never had the best lenses at least on consumer products, and megapixels isn't how you measure picture quality, the sensor is most important, then software, then the lens. Apple has been working with digital cameras longer than anyone (they created the first one) and the iPhone 4 proves it.

While it is true the software running on the Mac OS had been used for professional photos (Adobe Photoshop comes to mind), Apple has never made a successful optical device. Quicktake and the iphone 4 have nothing in common with regard to modern optics.

The video is not fake, but some strategies have been used, for example, the cell is never in motion when registering, in order not to show the drop in frame rate. The first images are literally still, for now I prefer my Omnia HD video. It has nothing that the camera has 12 megapixels, as the recording resolution is always 1280x720 (720p).
