  • One of my all-time favorite Dan songs. The chorus actually gave me strength many times in the darkest hours over the last 30 years. And in case anyone missed this, Dan's playing a 12 string, which gives this piece a stunning sound. 12 strings are damn hard to plan and even harder to play well.

  • beautiful and one of a kind singer writer and sense of life..

    MISS U DAN <3

  • my all time fav singer songwriter, and my other is Amy Grant

Dan was so handsome too, now he is in Heaven playing guitar for the stars...

  • Wow.. can't believe this song is over 30 years old and I never get tired of it.. I don't believe I've ever viewed this...I guess I was saving the best for last.. A double wow on the guitar playing ... love that sparkle sound he gives with the use of the higher strings..

Happy Anniversary to "The Innocent Age" album. 30 years young...love ya Dan... and thanks for the music!

  • What an amazing vision he must have had to create that song--it's almost as the he's not one of us, maybe from another realm. Now fallen beneath the waves...I wish those that hate him could hear his entire body of work--the most talented artist in our era.

  • He was one of the unfortunately few "voices" out there in the world with amazing insight and honest heart channeled through outstanding musical expression! He was one of the few that I had most wanted to meet and share music with.He was (and is) a musical-and-otherwise brother of the soul to me,and I miss him greatly.

Three years ago today, the world lost a cherished voice...But Dan left behind a "Living Legacy" that will continue throughout the days of my own life, to the end of days.

  • Heloo Jean, these videos in Peoria could be released on DVD. We are always hungry for something new to Dan

  • I live in Brazil. Am a fan of Dan. He was beautiful too. I love Dan !!!!!!! wonderful! love! love!

  • Dan's music never ceases to inspire me. His words and his music are just as releveant now as the day I discovered him. DAN LIVES!!!!

  • Ive been listening to Nexus alot this week and it just is so awesome--I love Dan's guitar playing, the whole structure of the song, the lyrics, the message and Dan's voice==he sure had it all. Its still hard to think of him gone, there will never be another Dan-he will always be my favorite!!

  • I Love this concert footage, such an intimate and one-on-one feel to them. Put them all together and you've got one whole concert. Sheer Heaven! Such a singularly unique soul, very much in tune with the universe. He will never be duplicated. Thanks for posting these gems. PEACE,ALL!

  • To amend my last post , it's "Blessed the traveler who journieys the length of the light".. a small mistake but a significant one....blessed travelers everywhere..We're spinning at the mercy of an unrelenting force...Dab said it best,

  • Who's Dab??? LOL!

  • Have you never ..ever typed anything wrong in your whole life before..a typo??? One little letter wrong. Let he who is without typing errors cast the first stone! lol I hate that silly abreviation >>>P.S. I was serious about the serious nature and meaning of Dan's work while he was here on the earth....what he said was important....How I typed was not important. however...

  • Oh I make mistakes all the time, I just found that one funny. I'm glad you are posting and enjoy reading your commetns!

  • The whole song revolves around the signature line ":Wealthy the spirit who journeys the length of the light"....refering to a spiritual journey...whether you are Hindu,or Christian, Buddist,Jewish or Muslim,The journey to the light is a soul's travel to the light of God.... a powerful journey that Dan was privy to have prior knowledge of... due to his advanced state of consciousness...his seeing beyond the veil.A priviledged man indeed..a light giver.

  • @TheReach1 Jesus was the ONLY 1 who claimed that He was the light of life and that NO one could come to God except by Him...Either He was who he claimed to be or he was a fraud. You will decide that one way or another before you enter the light....carefully consider...

  • Jesus was the great spiritual master of his time and indeed a true son of God to bring the light of God, and the word or the sound of God to mankind. He meant that anyone living in his particular time could go only through him and his teachings .There have been other givers of the light...immortal beings before him and following him and there is the thread of truth about all the facets of life in the higher realms of God in all the major religions..

  • @1perfectstranger2u To not be too redundant...we are all travelers who "journey the length of the light".Dan had the inside scoop on what will happen in the God worlds. Now he is up there himself (or out there)journeying the light himself...Spirituality is an individual matter...everyone gets to where they need to be...in God's world in due time.

    Greatings from Germany.

  • Thanks so much for uploading this, one of my all-time favorites to listen to and play on my acoustic guitar.

  • Especially enjoyed Dan's songs that he played on his 12 string guitar! Those have unmatched sound. Just had to hear a few tonight.... I am so glad he did Nexus with it.... the words to this song are are priceless! I will always remember the line, "... our heart becomes the instrument we learn to play so well, so well... ". The older I get the more all these verses mean to me. This song is timeless and just absolutely priceless! Ever On!

  • Beautiful guitar work, and lyrics worth remembering!

If only I could write something so amazing...and true!

  • What an unbelievable talent Dan has! He makes it seem so effortless! I love watching him play like this. He is amazing. Dan, I miss you so!

  • I just Love Dan's concerts. True entertainer, great writer, great singer, absolutely just an incredible musician. Thank-you for sharing this video with me.

  • Every time I see one of these pop up, it sends me straight to my sorely neglected 12 string. The old Fender thanks you. What a great video. Thanks for keeping us mere mortals inspired!

  • That's good to hear! I recently dusted off my acoustic and started playing again as well.
