He succeeded in Vietnamization as in the 1972 Easter offensive the Commy army was totally crushed by the joint South Vietnam Army and the US Air Force. I watch this video and I think back to the propaganda of 2004 when it was claimed by Fox News and the Swift Boat Non-Veterans that Kerry could not have served in Cambodia. The Mekong River that Kerry patrolled was the natural border between RSVN and Cambodia proper. If you watch Nixon's admission speech from April 1970, you will know that the Vietnamese had many bases along that river. But then, every right winger, member of the GOP and Tea Party all deny reality exists.

We played a neutral stance towards the the War, and still lost. Personally, I lost family from these bombings, and my mum's home was bombed.

im pretty sure the u.s bombing in cambodia did not really have an effect on the north vietnamese supplied route through the ho chi minh trail in fact less than 20 % of the supplies/fresh troops from the north to the south to arm the NLF (VC) was transported. somebody at the white house lied to nixon and told him 80% of the NVA supplies/fresh troops was run through the ho chi minh trail ,ultimately this great mistake contributed to nixon's decision to widen the war in to cambodia

I believe the CIA sponsored war in Cambodia was to draw off as many NVA/VC as possible from the war in Vietnam. To this affect they did very well with up to 30,000 NVA soldiers drawn from the war in Vietnam to the war in Cambodia. Also very expensive in equipment and supplies as well.
