  • WOW I hate E-85

  • idk if you were being sarcastic or not but i really do hate it you have to use like twice as much e85 to make the power that normal petrol makes.

  • Actually no. E85 is rated as 105octane on petrol. and the benefit of E85 is that there is little to no carbon buildup to speak of, especially when used in conjunction with AI

  • it might be a higher octane but it takes 2 times as much e85 to make the same amount of hp that 93 octane gas makes.

e85 is very expensice and you use more of it so it is dumb.

yes there is practicly no carbon build up but you will still get build up do to the fact that rotarys burn oil.

and it makes things like corn more expensive which makes other things more expensive and so on.

if your going to use alternate fuel use methenal it might clog injector but its better.

  • You are going way too far into this....

Rotary's dont have to burn oil, if you run pre-mix and delete the oil injection system and run straight synthetic in the oil pan.

E85 will negate any effects of carbon buildup as it eats away at anything made of carbon.

Methanol is not cost effective to use as its about $25per gallon.

    How do i know?

Because i buy them by the drum, and i go through them every 2 months when im driving the car 8 months out of the year

  • you just said pre-mix.... which means oil is pre mixed in the gas so yes you are burning oil.....

and idk if you ment to say 2.5 per gallon or not but 25 per gallon is insanly expensive.

and even 2.5 per gallon is really expensive in practicly any state in the US.

and e85 does not eat away anything made of carbon. methenal does but not e85 big difrence.

  • its actually closer to 1.4 times the amount of regualr fuel. and yea methanol is a smart idea for a safe street car. its cheap and easy to get and does no damage to your motor with long term use. or not. e85 is a safe cheap fuel. that can make good numbers so chill

  • E85 is actually cheaper from what I've seen at pumps. But what exactly do you mean it takes twice as much? like it has really shitty mileage? cuz I think I heard someone else say that on some other video......

  • google it.

its a long prosses to explain but pretty much e85 is alot weeker then regular gas.

  • ic.......so it takes more E85 per unit of air to achieve the right AFR compared to gasoline, which also means less mpg. So even though E85 is a bit cheaper than gas right now, in the long run it's more expensive. but they are trying to make it cheaper. However, I think for us car enthsuiasts E85 is the future because Gasoline cars isn't gona be around forever.

  • yes you are correct.

but i know in my life time or my unborn kids we won't run out of gasoline so i really don't care where we go from here yes e85 would be good if it could be produced and manufactured alot cheaper i would use it.

i just think its more of a race fuel then a daily driver fuel.

  • so does race gas. its used to be able to run a higher boost level or more agressive timing tuning. just like race gas as its a high octane. if your going for power on a safe cheap fuel its a smart choice i dunno were else you can get 105 octane for 2.85 a gallon.

  • actually it would be about 5 dollers or more per gallon considering you have to use so much more of it to have the same amount of power as gasoline.

  • did u make the car low enough? nah im fucking wit ya,sweet fucking FD.

  • Ja du måtte til Sverige for å få mappet skikkelig? :-P
