We used to get ITN's world news with Daljit Dhaliwal on PBS, and ITN still files numerous world reports for the News Hour with Jim Lehrer. The BBC is the best newscast and I watch them when I can. As far as American news is concerned, Ed Murrow, Walter Cronkite, Peter Jennings and Tom Brokaw (And to a lesser extent, Dan Rather)were the best names in news, but since they are gone, well it's all crap!
the thunderclaps while Adrian reads the headlines seem vey dramatic to me compared to BBC NEWS 24 anyone agree with me? Makes the news seem more important
Wow. I remember watching this very broadcast. I live in Chicago and remember that all too well. I was surprised that incident made international news. Nothing but a bunch of thugs in my opinion....anyway, I like BBC News.
Oh absolutely. If you have satelite television here in America chances are you have the BBC channel where you can watch all sorts of British programs as well as the news. Or if you have basic cable or even the basic channels on your television, BBC World would be on PBS (Public Broadcast Station).
BBC world is making it's way around the US, with that agreement the BBC made with Discovery Networks we'll all have it sooner or later. I know Cablevision in the NYC area have BBC World but not BBC America. Strange isn't it....
this news is interesting!

I want BBC world, BBC America is well, Americanized.
nubbie1944 4 years ago
Verizon FiOS and Cablevision have it, and Grande Comm. in Texas. It's also available FTA, but you need a giant C-Band dish to get it.

so is BBC america
