what kills me is that I hear this "FIXED Income" mumbo jumbo. Fixed income doesnt mean one is broke. Atleast when you got fixed income, you know what you can count on everymonth. I know people who are living on minimum wage, getting 20 hrs one week, 10 hrs the next, 8 hrs the next, and maybe 15 the next, yet people whine and cry about a steady income. even if youre on a Salary, ur on a "Fixed income" . Only time ur not is when u work hr or on Commission or get overtime!

The government pays cold weather payments to people on D.L.A and I think that is sufficient when it gets very cold. Being frank if someone on benefits gets 200 pounds paid into their account they are not going to pay their ulility bill unless that arrives at the same time.

A lot of the people DLA serves have mental health conditions, and not just temporary depressions - the coalition is trying to remove DLA as is, and the replacement won't be relevant for many of us on it; they are trying to stop or reduce the DLA direct financial aspect and just provide aids and applications. That's fine for people who need walking aids, but won't much help the mentally-affected, I'll bet.

yeh totally agree to people under the retirement age can join the motability scheme and get the carers allowance as well. so they should be entitled to money to keep warm ! . great video btw !
Great point! My fiancee helps pensioners claim benefits that they are entitled to but not claiming but is constantly frustrated at the fact that disabled people below retirement age cannot claim.
