@steevum I have trouble getting a nice, clear picture with the analog channels CTV, Global and Access right now. (I do get CTV and Global perfectly in HD, though). CITY is also currently broadcasting in HD, and CBC is expected to follow this spring.
I estimate approximately 15km away from Signal Hill? My antenna is aimed roughly in that direction from the outskirts Northeast area of town. The antenna line-of-sight has a relatively unobstructed view.
@steevum the antenna is placed inside, and is "wedged" in the window frame as the height of the antenna fits perfectly in there. the angled coathanger wire faces inward from the window and is aimed towards downtown from the NE.
It has more to do with where in Canada you are located. I am in Calgary, and the only stations broadcasting HD are CTV and Global out of Calgary. There are no other stations to receive here currently, where in Montreal or Toronto you can receive more from large centres close to you.
Cheers man! Happy New Year :)

How far do you estimate you are from Signal Hill? I noticed one of your stations comes in fuzzy but the rest of them look reasonable.

Is your antenna inside or outside?

@MultiTask1000 most likely you will not need a converter box. as long as your television has a built-in TV tuner you are good to go!

You don't have more free digital/hd channels?
I wish I had CTV HD and GLOBAL HD!
For those two, I'll have to wait until August 2011! Grrr!

nope, unfortunately those are the only two we receive in calgary over-the-air.
i really want CBC-HD now!

Place it against the window and spend a few bux to connect it with an amp. I bought an inexpensive one at The Source, Nexxtech brand.
I have mine connected to one and against the window facing south-west (in Montreal), I get 7 channels. Try it coz...
FREE HD IS GLORIOUS!
