Thanks for the upload. :) Last time I saw this was maybe 20 years ago. Couldn't have guessed back then that I'd be one day viewing this on computer. :) Up to this day I remembered the scary pirate man, the "This is the night" song and the pirate song... and Garfield's repetitive candy chant. x) Rewatching the show now, I'm not wondering why I was creeped out by this as a kid. This is a proper old-fashioned ghost story, and in many parts, the drawing is less cartoonish. :)

And then they showed it a couple of times after that, never again, NOW when The Great Pumpkin shows it is followed up with You're Not Elected, Charlie Brown, why not Garfield's Halloween!?

@AlanGunn97 I agree 100%. Peanuts is a classic, but Garfield has better wits, spirit, and humor than Charlie Brown. I was scared when I watched Charlie Brown Halloween as a kid, but since it was Peanuts, I knew it would end well. With Garfield Halloween, there was a real sense of adventuring into the unknown. I really didn't know what might happen. That made the ending all the more rewarding.

I really wish ABC or CBS would bring this back on television. I remember being a kid and watching this right after The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown at 8:30 on CBS. This and Garfield Thanksgiving and Christmas are ALWAYS a must see on the holidays--just my opinion

Would be awesome if they redid this exact cartoon into a CGI format. Kept everything original just made it 3D. Id buy it especially if it was a DVD with both the remake and this original. Watched this so many halloweens growing up as a kid. Its awesome great memorys =). I got the DVD of this with the Xmas special loved that one too.
