When handling LN2, bare skin is much safer than a layer of cloth. The warmth of skin causes the LN2 to boil away into the air, but a layer of cloth traps the liquid nitrogen next to the skin, burning it.

@matthewarnold so liquid nitrogen is a lot colder than dry ice but because of this its also a lot safer?

since your feet is so hot compared to liquid nitro
it imediatly boils off, leaving a insulative layer of air ln2
and then all of it turns to air ln2
its a law that some guy found
