Judge Guston by his work, not his character. I feel like his work turned for the worst, but I guess one painter's masterpieces are another painter's distaster. I'm in that disaster category

I agree a painter has to be judged by his work, but many (some very famous) got away with it on personality grounds alone. The character aspect of an artist got overrated.
