  • She looks sooo tensed. Yoga is supposed to relax you. However looking at her is so much heavey on nervers. Also, her voice pitch is soooo irritating.

  • kundalini tantra mantras r given in rudrayamal tantra uttara tantram, very good and authentic.

  • @loretronic lol B.C. used to be before Christ, so it can also mean before Columbus.

  • @0zaro lol

  • Its suppose to be a low pitch by the way... Suppose to make the organ feel it. Not just the lungs.

  • she is funny.

  • Maddg, relax man. Let it be , for such is the wisdom of Sanatan Dharma.

  • How can you get serious when you can not even pronounce the syllables right ? You can not teach others before you teach yourself correctly. And you sit on an animal skin ? I think this is plain mockery of a spiritual value system

  • listen lady, since when did kundalini become part of Sikh religion. Kundalini, yoga, mantra is all part of only Hindu religion and if you are not happy with Sikh religion become a hindu...simple as that !!

  • detestei a pele de animal!!!!

  • her mantra makes the camera move! :D

  • ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahhahahahhahah

  • what is this nonsense??? seriously you are even pronouncing the mantra properly....leave YOGA, MEDITATION, PRAYERS AND GODS TO HINDUS. DON'T DESTROY MY CULTURE, PRAYER JUST LIKE YOU PEOPLE DESTROYED THE IMAGE OF JESUS. IF YOU CAN'T BELIEVE IN JESUS, HOW CAN YOU SIT YOUR BUTT AND RECITE HORRIBLY A SANSKRIT MANTRA. WAKE UP

  • who told u yoga a sikh religion part and whr write in guru granth sahib about yoga why they attach yoga with skih and what the benefit with it

  • LOVE the way you do your mantra!

The volume, I'll bet, will make a difference, "tuning in"!

Can't wait to try this one...

    Thanks!

  • do those words have a meaning? or are they just sounds?

  • @KarinaCKY Yes, they have meaning. The word combination gives a special combination of vibrations to effect changes in the brain and body. You can gain effects without knowing the meanings. That is the power of the sound-current in Kundalini Yoga. Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo means simply, "I bow to the universe. I bow to the divine teacher within". You may find many different interpretations along this theme, but that's a basic meaning. It sets the "tune-in" vibration for practice & protects you.

  • i'm wondering it's an animal the skin you are sitting on

  • @stillrage yes, it's a sheep skin. and Kundalini yogis are usually vegetarians. it's a paradox. and a longer discussion for another time. but it has to do with the skin insulating your magnetic field from the earths as you practice. It's a very old technology from India.

  • @RogerThatFilip I see, ... thanks for your answer. I hope the new century will bring more respect and consciousness to the modern yogis.

  • all who degrade mantra yoga are jus lost souls unable to step aside and see the way others live and respect it. its an unfortunte way to live.

also. u dont kno if that is an animal fur. dont be so quick to judge others

  • all who degrade mantra yoga are jus lost souls unable to step aside and see the way others live. its an unfortunte way to live.

  • Hi... much respects.. but i looooove the poor animal fur your sitting on it.... is so compasive to have this kind of things that are the really scence of yoga and meditation.... right... much bless...

  • Be careful of GURUS.They want people to worship them and treat them a second to God.

  • @san42c02y Um, sorry you feel that way. If you every actually read the words of the 10 Sikh Gurus, you couldn't be farther from the truth.

  • LOL , all she is saying: Om guru dev namah ! - it is only a salute to the guru...

It has nothing to do with kundalini yoga, Do u know sanskrit? please learn it

  • I wish i was in her class. she's so inpiring.

  • Her pronunciation is to Nasal and she speaks to fast. Also there is no written form to go from so I can not understand her.

  • @cydwatts Sat Nam:

The written form of the Mantra is:

    "Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo"

  • Why do they have to dress like one of Ali Babas 40 thieves ?

I mean, is it always a show or what ?

  • @cspace1234nz She is clearly a Sikh. That is the way they dress. They are some of the best kundalini yoga teachers but they tend to ignore the safety aspect (they are rather hard core) which is a reason to start with हठयोग haṭhayoga.

  • @cydwatts Thanks. If you are young, it's certainly a good idea to start with Hatha yoga. But I disagree Kundalini teachers "ignore" the safety aspect. Safety is built into KY in the form of strict limits on times, and by teaching exactly from the books (by Yogi Bhajan). I have found it a very safe and practical way to have fast results without needing to dedicate 20 years to hatha training. I've seen 60 year-olds benefit from KY. Maybe if you are under 30 years old, start with other yoga.

  • Also you have to chant mantra

    "Ad Gurey Nameh,

    Jugad Gurey Nameh

    Sad Gurey Name

    Siri Gurudev Nameh"

3 times before starting the kriya.

    sat nam

  • @oriol108

Actually the Mangala Charn Mantra is optional, it is not required but you can chant it if you like.

    Sat Naam!

  • this is not pilates o your gym class, is a technology that existed before Columbus came to America. These are powerful sounds, is like re-learning how to talk.

  • Hierarchies are about feeding grounds for perverts like Yogi Bhajan.

  • "Golden chain of teachers"? hmmm, interesting how truth can get bent.

Yoga is a way to get free from all this. Not to make you accept yet another hierarchical system.

  • yes it is strange isn't it, when i started with kundalini yoga an idea like this golden chain irritated me but i accepted it. now i don't follow the mantra meditations anymore i still do the physical exercises but i think if you want to use a mantra you can create your own. but for me focus on the breath is enough for meditation.

  • when one goes through the training to teach and be a teacher - any teacher the idea of a golden chain becomes more clear...that we're just building and extending the knowledge that has already been tested and finetuned..the golden chain is our ancestors as teachers..the teachers of yoga that came before and so forth. no teacher is any better than the other...just connected and sharing the body of wisdom that has been passed on ...

  • @nycballer4life

The powerful effect of the mantras is worthy giving a try. You might discover a whole universe of experience in them. I really recommend it. You can think of mantras as vocal kriyas, the same way we don't invent kriyas, for the very same safety reasons mentioned before, that we don't know the energetic outcome, same thing happens to mantras. Each vowel and consonant has a specific impact and effect on organs, glands/chakras.

    Blessings!

  • @Avanau

i know the mantras work but as long as i cannot understand exactly why they work i will not use it anymore. i read that behind certain mantras is the working of a being which is attracted by the mantra ..a certain vibration.

For example the sa-ta-na-ma mantra is said to bring change and you shouldn't do it if you don't want change. but it does not say what kind of change it brings...

  • @nycballer4life I think sound is what makes them work. Certainly, there is philosophy behind every mantra and understanding it is important if you are on a spiritual path, but the actual working of the mantra is,I think, all in the repetition and vibration and on the effect they have on the mind and body.Other eplanations can be colourful (magical powers, divine beings, etc.) but you don't need to take them literally.

  • @nycballer4life Actually, every thought, every word, every piece of food you eat, TV show you watch - they all have vibration. Vibration = energy. If you want to improve your life, choose words, foods and exposure to all that will improve it. It's really not necessary to be spooked by it. Change is going to happen, no matter what - especially in this age. Might as well jump onto something productive! :)

  • @dervishmadwhirler

It is foolish to think there is any spiritual worth in practices with no foundation in tradition. Traditions, such as performing mantras, provide such a link.

Also, accept hierarchy. It's good for you.

  • That's a very limited interpretation. Tuning in to the Golden Chain of teachers simply means giving respect to those who taught and passed along this knowledge. It also protects and covers you from harmful effects. It's a matter of having gratitude, and does not signify accepting any sort of obedience to anyone.

  • @dervishmadwhirler actually depends on what your talking because there are many type of meditation out there.

  • @dervishmadwhirler , there is no hierarchy in a chain. In fact when you recite this mantra, you are on the same level as the greatest teacher. You really should learn more about Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan before you dis it. To think you could understand it after watching a 1:14 min. clip is absurd.

  • @dervishmadwhirler its not hierarchical system, it is a one to one connection. From master to disciple, form disciple to his further disciples. Chain is not a hierarchy, it is a set of linear connections.

  • ;-(

  • I like this mantra chanting, but actually it has nothing to do with protection, it is just a method to get out of your mind. Like using drums in shamanism for instance.

  • "getting out of your mind" = clearing. Vibrations and sounds from mantras, drumming are protective as they clear unwanted energies as does rattling, chanting, smudging, sacred fragrance, castinng a sacred circle.

  • sure, if you look at it that way.

  • tankyou.

    Namaste
