I bought the documentary from the site and just watched it, I am absolutely stunned by it. Its a great work of art. The emotions in the film are very well built up and its a great story. It moved me. I want to give much respect to everyone who participated in this movie.
@Gooddogfilms Thanks! Please tell me, the DVD is still 12,99 dollars, and free shipping? If not, how much would the shipping cost to Europe, Romania? Thanks, best regards! :-)
hey loved the documentary, saw it on rte ages ago. would you have any details of where he stayed/trained? as im thinking of going to a training camp in thailand this summer? thanks
This looks compelling, I haven't seen it yet but look forward to it. I've been in the ring with Muai Thai kickboxers as a camera op, here in Holland, and it is very intense. I wish you the best of luck with the project.
This film represents that rare thing in a human life - taking the opportunity to examine personal experience and to transform it into a universal message. When we do this, all can share the gold from our crucible, and life is truly richer!
I saw this documentary about a year ago and I have to say it was very moving and dealt with the nature of violence in a very personal and touching fashion. Definitely worth seeing!
It does look interesting especially the philisophical ideas about violence and war in the individual and the manifestation then in the world outside the individual....
I had a chance to see this at the Beloit International Film Festival and meet director/subject Peter McCarthy. It is one of the most open, vulnerable and downright interesting documentaries I've seen. And don't look at this and say "oh, martial arts, I'm not interested" because it is so much more than that. One moment you'll feel like you're watching a sporting event on TV with your buddies, the next moment you'll be having some knowledge dropped on you by a monk... it's a very rewarding film.

Hi Peter.
A beautiful piece of work, my friend. Truthful, sensitive and sublimely observed.
