Bengchoong is right. All those faults with Vietnam come from stupidity, but it's not the people's fault. It's the communists that are in charge. The streets are only that narrow in the first place because the communists refuse to expand the cities and sold off the forests to foreigners. If you're on the plane on Vietnam you'd see vast forests surrounded the tiny, cluttered cities.

Viet citizens should be treated as how people are treated here, the society should be like this in Vietnam if everything they said were true ! that disappointed me badly. ok. @lucirz every year, 2mil of Viet highschool students take part in the entrance exam to uni and only 10% of them succeed, we use the word "wasteful" when someone scores 28+/30 for the uni exam if they study in a Viet uni (I personally would say WTF?), while it is "wasteful" for a Chinese when someone leaves the country in the same situation. Viet are not naturally stupid but without being educated, yes.
@AutumnAmyz in Hochiminh City, it is extremely crowded during rush hours so even people who can afford for a car. they would prefer using motorbikes/scooters to avoid getting stuck in the crowd for hours. A motorbike/scooter is very affordable, around 500€ - 5000€, but when you buy a car, you have to pay 100-150% for tax.

@bengchoong Trust me, I live in Canada, go to school here, and we're still using books,machines and tools that are from the 60's. My school is stop to break down, and it's overpopulated, even though Canada's education system is way better than the States and many other countries. There are flaws in every system. The traffic is from stupidity?Lawl, they now building metros and subways, because they know once cars join the traffic, no one would be able to move. Every big city have bad traffic.

@lucirz every year, 2mil of Viet highschool students take part in the entrance exam to uni and only 10% of them succeed, we use the word "wasteful" when someone scores 28+/30 for the uni exam if they study in a Viet uni (I personally would say WTF?), while it is "wasteful" for a Chinese when someone leaves the country in the same situation. Viet are not naturally stupid but without being educated, yes.

@AutumnAmyz in Hochiminh City, it is extremely crowded during rush hours so even people who can afford for a car. they would prefer using motorbikes/scooters to avoid getting stuck in the crowd for hours. A motorbike/scooter is very affordable, around 500€ - 5000€, but when you buy a car, you have to pay 100-150% for tax.

@bengchoong Trust me, I live in Canada, go to school here, and we're still using books,machines and tools that are from the 60's. My school is stop to break down, and it's overpopulated, even though Canada's education system is way better than the States and many other countries. There are flaws in every system. The traffic is from stupidity?Lawl, they now building metros and subways, because they know once cars join the traffic, no one would be able to move. Every big city have bad traffic.

@VNSki Why cant we enhance the size of the streets? there are always people who try to build up houses illegally on the part of the land that dont belong to them, then the politicians need to pay money for that later, if they want to take those back. That cost time, and money, a lot a lot of money. they are having the same problem in attempt to build the metro system, hence the delay. I wont refuse to say thats clearly the stupidity come from the citizen. we need people to be educated first !

if you got hit by a car to death, they will put you into the jail for a few years and you will have to pay his/her family few thousands dollar then you can continue of what you were doing after getting out. but if you injure him, causing him the lost of labour, you will have to pay for the lost of the rest of his/her life, which is much more money.
so people would prefer killing you. lol. ugly truth, but it's real.

@moss1969 because it is not possible to ride/drive fast in this kind of traffic so it is real that they will avoid you if you try to cross slowly, they have enough time to react :P But dont try that with big vehicles... ;)
Just dont get killed by a truck or a bus driver who earns only few hundred dollars/month. that really sucks I must say :)) in other countries, people drive with responsibility and decision is made from the heart. but it's just not the way it works here :)
