Of course it was way before the internet was unleashed on the public ... and I love the Roland TR-808, but can someone confirm whether that's a Roland TB-303 in the background?
I can't help but comment, it sounds like he is saying 'Internet Connection' - You will now never listen to this song ever again without raising a smile :-)))
Norman Durham of the popular 80s group Kleeer has died tragically from carbon monoxide poisoning at his Chestnut Ridge, New York home eminating from a generator powering his home during a power outage.
For sure a HOT tune! I remember when it came out. It was a hit back then.
@cgamonwhit The lyrics always give you that "ah, yeah it's serious" feelin every time you hear it. It's true you dont hear lyrics like this these days. Somebody forward this to Chris Brown Stat!!
Bearskin rug, fireplace, I run my fingers all over your face! DAMN, they don't write like this no more. One of my favorites along with Midnight Stars Curious. Classics.
lyrics?? really!??...let me just say that this has always been one of my FAVE songs by this band, but I've always been so caught up in that music, I never paid any attention to the lyrics! Gonna have to make myself a special li'l compilation cd...this one just may be the opening act!! LOL
@MusicPheend when i was trying to find these songs when i got older I would always confuse them. But never when I hear them In like the same hour, i know that's bugged but that's how it is.
This song, the Clubs in NYC...the city that never sleeps played music like this, when people danced in clubs..........fierce back in the day..Bronx..thnx for posting
listened to this in Dublin as part of of my clubbing days...part of being what we thought was a face was being clued in to serious jazz funk / soul / RnB and being dressed to kill...killer tune
An essential slab of 80s funk boogieness! I'm selling ALL of my funk/soul/jazz/hip hop wax including an original copy of the Kleeer - Intimate Connection LP in case anyone is interested... hit me up!
@ChronicGod420 My Bad, that is correct sir. It's called California Love by Tupac but produced by Dr Dre. The Kleer came out before Dre's professional career
@ChronicGod420 well Dre simply took the bassline and changed the key, slowed the tempo a lil bit and put his own touch to it. He killed it nonetheless.
Can't tell you how i used to do my unique dance style, everyone wished and tried to copy me but couldn't and some even broke their legs!, and those were the good times. Wish could reverse the time!!!
Thank you for being kind enough to share this crystal Kleeer copy of this bad azz hit. It's still just as bad now as it was back then. Thank you again for having such good taste in music.
@MultiGuarddog .. s'pose it's a matter of personal opinions but they had a trailer load equally kick ass vibes imho (Winners, Take Your Heart Away; Never Cry Again are examples)
one of my favourite jams that just oozes sexiness!
i remember the dj dropping this at the last funk n soul all nighter i went to.. soft lights, loads of people slow dancing on the dancefloor.. the vibe was just hot.
you have exceptional taste..keep the tunes coming :)
Huge in the BIG APPLE.... ahh man i close my eyes... its early friday eve. chilling with my lady we are heading into the BIG APPLE preppin for a nite on the town... soo much to do in the city that never sleeps.. @9Disciples It's a 2Pac song. And it' called California Love (Remix). And Dre got the beat from Kleeer, ot the other way around.
