What's with the add covering the screen, why bother with a clip, when you can just knock people's house and shove the add down their throats as they open the door.
i miss mary tyler moore so much and i thank you so much fro posting this! it brings back so many good memories and feelings! and mary tyler moore has been through so much lately, this is a comfort im sure to her while she is recovering from brain surgery recently.
Watching old comedies is the best way I know of to judge changing times and society. I have seen so many shows about changing morays and our perception of what is smart and what is humor.
Even though this show was made 41 years ago, it still remains fresh and funny and was the perfect introduction to Mary RIchards, Rhoda, Phyllis and Lou Grant. Jim Brooks, Allan Burns and Jay Sandrich created a classic sitcom which we can still enjoy!
I'm 16 years old, and this is my favorite sitcom. :)

Thank God the MTM DVDs weren't the disaster the Rhoda season1 DVD was, with scenes missing and terrible picture quality.

The 41st birthday of this episode--9/19/1970....which, in fact, was my father's 41st birthday
