There are parts that are major, but for shred you want, E harmonic minor and E natural minor.

Or if your drop tuned like I think he is, then it's whatever you're dropped to.

If he's a step down, it would be D harmonic minor, but it's still the same shape, get me?

Asianator2: I use Zakk Wylde's GHS Boomer custom guage. Before Those, I used to buy a pack of 7 string guitar strings and use the 7th string as my 6th string so I could drop-tune for a solid low end. Thanks for the comment!
