The inner lining of a muffler to control smog and muffle engine output sound. If you take this out the muffler will be louder and you will gain some HP due to this.
Yep. I think I paid right around $900 brand new in 1979. It was the best you could buy at the time. Put a big ass expansion chamber on it ...the thing hauled! No licence, registration or insurance in them days. The old guy I sold it to in '81 rode it another 10 years at least.
Hi, are their pegs on those bikes or do u rest ur feet assymetrically on the pedals?
I'm looking at buying one, whats too much, i'll want to resell it within a year (visa etc) and don't want to loose money. For a great condition one is $1200 US dollars too much? ur thoughts would be appreciated. thanx
Excellent condition, low mls, I'd go 800, but its up to you.
If you're going to resell in a year you should count on losing a little unless you buy a project and fix it.
1980's US mopeds typically have pedals, just like this one. They help to go up hills. You can put pegs on them if you want.
If you're just buying for a year and using it for actual transportation consider a newer machine, the price won't be that much different ( yamaha zuma or something)

It had a title. Ask your dmv how to get it titled, if it hasn't been registered in a while sometimes its not that hard.
