You quickly walked by the face on the door after the Pyramid Head fight.
I never knew that Laura's letter was in your inventory after you defeated Pyramid Head or how the TV and James (in the Hotel room) was similar to the Apartment scene.
I have beaten this game so many times and seen many Let's Plays of this game but am learning new things from yours.
Random thought; Angela says "Now you're the only one left! Maybe then...maybe then I can rest." Since the implication is that Angela killed her father and her brother (note the two bloody corpses hanging off the wall) and that Angela intended to kill herself, was she looking for her mother this whole time so she could kill her? Her mum said she deserved what happened so was Angela planning on killing her for what she said then offing herself? :S LOVE THIS GAAAAAME!!!
am i the only one who laughed when james screamed after maria,i mean what was he screaming for when he wasnt really locked upsidedown in some weird thingymajig lol
Geez, I wasn't aware that "Stairs of Fire" song was attached to such a depressing scene. Rarely do I feel as bad for a video game character as I do for Angela now.
Interestingly enough, I think all the "mist" is from James seeing the flames in Angela's world, thus causing all the flooded areas to evaporate.
Oh, and I noticed that the envelope was gone as soon as you start that Pyramid Head fight.
@Bowserslave She wasn't being serious. She was just pointing out that she was beyond saving.
There's a really easy way to deal with Pyramid Head using the Great Knife go into a corner of the room wait for them both then use the Great Knife on both of them the sword will riochet off the wall and hit them again. I thought you would know about this trick that's why I didn't say anything until after the fight.
@RoahmMythril I new about this trick from PS2 Magazine back when they had old demo disks and tips and tricks on each one just face a corner of a wall in which you know the sword will ricochet and it should work I'm surprised I remember this trick honestly. XP
Guess you didn't hear about the great knife trick. It turns the battle against the P heads into a pretty easy one, just get into a corner, look down the left side, and start swinging the knife horizontally. It'll bounce off the wall, hitting the P heads again, and speeding up the swinging time.
I feel bad for Angela. She succumbed to the mentality that she deserved it and it was her fault when its not true. Feels like Lisa all over again ._. In Eddie's case I wouldn't say he accepted his fate. He went nuts and James killed him in self defense. On a slightly happier note love how James finally decides to confront his hell head on and its symbolized by the Pyramid Heads being afraid of him and killing themselves.
Where did all that water come from in the basement? As for Angela, I feel sorry for her too Roahm. Wish there was a way to save all who suffer in this game
The deep water in the basement, I think it's part of James' otherworld. Given one of the possible endings, it makes sense when you go back and think about it. I'll discuss it at that point ;)
The scene where the two Pyramid Heads stab themselves with their spears CRACKED ME UP the first time I saw it. It was just one of those "wtf?" moments...I mean you have two large, spear wielding guys trying to kill you and BAM...they kill themselves in a sudden way xD
Funny note: I feel like Angela starts off acting like one of those characters in the children's books who're looking for their moms. (title that popped into my head: "Is Angela's Mama a Llama?")
Serious note: Angela's actually sort of gracious in her move towards self-immolation. It might not be the most accepted or the best thing to do, but it's amazing how sane she finally seems.
@Goblinfoo Why yes, yes they did. I think I have a rough idea of what exactly they represent, but I do remember Roahm saying he'd explain everything at the end.
you know, for a town called Silent Hill, it isn't very quiet -.- haven't seen a ill yet either. Should be called Flat Scary Boodie Man Town. Or something
If you don't mind my asking around how much do they charge for this rule stricken internet? I use Time Warner myself and there aren't any restrictions whatsoever that I know of but it costs 70 a month for a measly 5 megs.
roahm if i could i would make a web service just to make sure you get a somewhat decent connection and be able to post videos around 2:00-5:00 my time
I remember when i played this i was hard pressed for ammo and health at all times and you have SO MUCH AMMO...for everything. I really want to see that rifle get some use. Do you get something for beating the game with so much ammo or do you get your healing items and ammo for the next playthrough?
This is the only time I can upload videos. Due to the annoying bandwidth limitations of HughesNet, I can only upload without worry from 1 AM to 6 AM. As for Comcast, believe me, I wish we could get that. They don't service our area. No one else does.
Ack, that's terrible. o_o Are you able to get on at all, during the day, or is it just not nearly as reliable? That's a shame, though. Still, great video, as always.
I can get on AIM and do things like that, browse the web, that sort of thing. I just can't do any large downloads or uploads, or watch videos or such. HughesNet has rather unfair bandwidth policies. For example, my entire family of six has a daily bandwidth limit of 350 MB. If we go over that, we get stuck with speed worse than dialup for 24 hours.
That's pretty harsh. There's no other services that reaches you? Are you one of the types that lives somewhere with awesome scenery, but noone else around for miles? And is that 350MB for the entire day, or just all at once? I'm not particularly certain how much memory browsing websites contributes, but it seems a bit difficult to keep track of.
@RoahmMythril check into vonyage they swear they cover all of the states even out in the middle of nowhere. You can also try Wildblue it's a broadband satalite internet service and satalite internet can pretty much be gotten anywhere.
They are only using the lightweight spears because you stole their great knife

D. Didn't James know that Optimus Prime died for our sins? No? Well damn..
