  • I want this in my suburban

  • Comment removed

  • Can you post a video of someone just unloading an AK mag into one of these at point blank?

  • and what about the tyers

  • How much for the suburban I will love 2 have one!

  • .50 cal will do the job

  • will it take the 50 cal

  • Shoot the windshield, they won't be able to see, done.

  • Is it possible to put armour on a car you already purchased? Im a really paranoid person.

  • To all you people posting fucking retarted coments: If you think this will finily penetrate after 4 or 5 shots, or you think its so heavy that you will run out of gas quicker, or you think they will shoot up your windshield and you wont be able to see. FINE, dont buy the product and get shot up in your regular car, I dont give a fuck, but stop posting fucking retarted coments! Unless you want to drive a tank this is about as good as it gets.

  • what do u do with the vehicles like this suburban thats been shot up?

  • HELOOO CRACK DEALERS

  • This looks like a fun job!

  • withstand 50-caliber? because in mexico use of these

  • IN MY COUNTRY MEXICO drug traffickers KILLED WHEN SOMEONE AROUND THE REGULAR TRIGGER 400 AK 47 rifle shots. THIS CAR COULD SUPPORT THAT AMOUNT OF BULLETS?

  • meh id be impressed if it was shot in the same place 5 times and didn't break

  • what if shooting it with a machine gun non-stopply??

  • So now all the guys shooting at you have to do is wait till you have to stop to get out for gas because it must get 5 miles to the gallon weighing so much more than it already does. or just shoot the glass so you cant see out to drive it anywhere. not being an ass im just curious if anyone has thought this through?

  • @diverseent I dont think you understand. A whole tank of gas is like somewhere around 18 gallons, so Im pretty sure by the time 50 miles has gone by you have either lost the enemy or killed them. Thats if they didnt make a extended tank of gas.

And Im sure the enemy isnt going to be hitting every inch of window. We can say what ifs all day.

  • στη ελλαδα εχει εργοστασιο αυτοκηνητων θωρακησμενον και που ξερη κανησ ναμου απαντηση στηλε στο φεισπουκ μου stef jaskson

  • What about the tyres?

  • You don't specify what type of ammo you're firing. The reason being that a M855 5.56 round would have much more penetrating capability than say a hallow point or similar soft tip type of projectile. Even more so with harder hitting .308 round. A true torture test would have 2 shooters armed with automatic ARs firing M855 rounds, 2 shooters with automatic AKs, and 2 shooters with .308 rifles loaded with black tip AP rounds. All firing no less than 30 rounds of automatic fire (except .308 rifles).

  • All these "test" videos...Why not use a .50 cal or a shit load of guns and unload on the vehicle? I doubt a terrorist would precisely pick his shots like in this video. They want to kill the fucker inside, not connect the dots once "selectively" fired shots are made. The car should look like swiss cheese in the driver area and rear section. In short, the more bullets fired in one are, the bigger the fucking whole.

  • Can it stand an RPG 7 ??

  • what would happen if you shoot it in the same spot?

  • @TheShortii123 would it penetrate or wat same with the windows

  • @TheShortii123

Nothing. This isn't built with composite armor, this is armor steel.

  • @ULTRAARMORING What MPG do these armored suburbans get?

  • Gatling gun 50 cal.will do the job,:))

  • The clip where the spent bullet case hits the floor. Thats from 'The Hurt Locker'.

    Yes?

  • They probablyy never shot one on top of the other is because in a real world situation, you will never actually have time to do exactly that. Also, a tank is barely capable of sustaining repeated RPG attacks in the real world.

In Iraq, you'd ram whatever it is that is in front of you and flee.

Armored vehicles are made to protect you for short-term durations and help aid escape and access to a safe location, not sit there and take on a 24 hour beat-down.

    Anyhow, good job UltraArmoring

  • Would the armor be strong enough to with stand maybe ten rounds of a 50. caliber sniper rifle with explosive tips on the bullet?

  • @iltusm176 I doubt this vehicle can defend against an API or APHE .50BMG round. Those puppies punch through pretty much anything you put in their way (tank armor, cement/brick walls, engine blocks, cinder block, etc).

  • What is the brinell strength of your steels?

  • @dills2403

We use a Mil-Spec rated ballistic steel and it carries a hardness rating of 520-565

  • @ULTRAARMORING nice ar 500-565 would offer more than enough protection...Another thing i live close and would be more than willing to fire my own handloads and cast bullets at this lol... cast has a harder brinell strength than a fmj

  • ok but lets say its driving throught iraq today and was blocked in front and behind,5 rpgs and 1000s of round would do it,,,,right???

  • Thanks for posting this video. I always enjoy these. Of course it does show an obvious weakness. While I understand that the armor is essentially a short term survival technique that allows the vehicle to get away, I can't help wonder about the 421 round business.

Shots were never placed on top of one another, for obvious reasons. Why play the total shots game when two or three closely placed shots would clearly penetrate the safety cell?

Oh, that's right, to sell stuff. Nevermind.

  • @B18cHatchPDX

Actually, that is not totally correct. In real world situations, direct shots on top of each other would be very unlikely. The material we run, being that it is not composite based, can take several direct shots on top of each other without penetration. What this test video is suppose to show is overlap protection in door jams and weld joints.

  • @B18cHatchPDX You have a very good point, but you have to remember that the armor in an armored car is supposed to be the last line of defense against an attack. Speed, agility, and stealth is the primary protection. Like you say yourself, the armor is just supposed to be able to buy you those few extra seconds to gtfo from the kill zone. That's why the likelihood of multiple rounds striking the armor within centimeters of each other is highly unlikely, as the vehicle would be constantly moving.

  • @B18cHatchPDX Try putting round on top of round, or even within a couple inches of each other, in a real combat environment. For starters, armored vehicles generally travel very fucking fast, for obvious reasons. I've been in them in urban areas moving anywhere from 70-100 miles an hour and faster on open roads. RPG's are hard to place on targets this size at these speeds. Maybe a .50 MG on an enemy vehicle manned by a damned good operator would get this thing slowed down. IED is the threat.

  • @8s8lw8d Here's a good example of a real motorcade at speed. Nobody is putting round atop of round on these vehicles. And another question, which is your target vehicle?

  • It's called run-flats. They typically are made to be a self-supporting rubber frame even in case of pressure loss, and in cases like this certainly include wheel inserts that allow the vehicle to run without any inflatable tire material attached at all (aka even when the self-supporting tire gets blown or torn off).

  • Are the tires armored, u can't get awAy if they shoot the tires o_O??

  • hell yeah man, it was crazy, i was 16 when it happend, now im 19 but it made me think different about cars and what people actually do when they see you

  • yea except for the window breaking

  • the bullet shell scene was from "THE HURT LOCKER"

  • I know that those are the most common calibers, but if you were going to go through all that, you should have used all cal.30-30,30.06,270,7mm,50cal,etc....calibers with power.

  • man this thing cost 100,000 for civilians to buy

  • Ultra Armoring is the best. my dad has the REV3 version, he takes on business trips, and once we went to mexico and had to avoid a road block some robbers set up, and the car got shot at five times 2 on the side where me and my mom were sitting and 3 in the back. = no one hurt! thanks UA for saving lives!

  • @goigoitoy That really happened to you?!?

  • @goigoitoy shut up lier

  • @Cisco1352 your lame, you dont live with the kind of dad i do, and i could care less if you think its true or not, im talking about the truck thanks.

  • @goigoitoy what u mean i dont live whit the kind of dad u do, man u dont even know me my dad has more power and money than yours has and i dont live in the u.s i live in mexico thats were im right now pinche puto

  • @Cisco1352 okay good for you,

  • Does it stop 7.62 API's?

  • Please clarify no full door overlap, as our channels run from floor to top of door access. Retaining factory door panels and user features while integrating mil-spec armor is integral to success of B6 armored platforms. FYI, this video demonstrates our FIRST rev prototype and is not a reflection of our production class REV3 vehicles.
