The problem WWE had with the previous was that the belt was too small and thin. The plates bent easily and by Backlash '08 looked like tin foil. Fun Facts: The new belt was designed by the WWE Magazine artist who designed the Undisputed belt. The color (platinum) is meant to mirror the brand color. The Phoenix is an allegory to ECW "rising from the ashes"
