He (Alvin Lee)is a Guitar God,but IMO very underrated...But I'd put him up against any of the Clapton/Page/Blackmore.Oh don't forget my guitar hero Rory..Rock On Alvin

This guy can play like no one! Imo, one of the purest Gods of guitar..wiht Hendrix, Page,J. Beck and R.Blackmore!! But Alvin was the only one who got better as whiskey..more old he gots better he gets!!~~Amazing~~

That is so very true. Alivn really improved over the years. He got a lot smoother and more fluid. His Alvin Lee In Teneesee is proof. He took a lot of heat back in the '60s for being a speed demon. But he was always much more than that to me. He stole the show at Woodstock and that put him on the map for good. He managed to come up with an all time classic guitar riff. Not many have done that!
